A big deal is made about his family being in LA.
Does that limit his desired options to "close flights"?
Jazz, Cali teams, Nuggets

At this point, who gives him a better option to win than Phoenix? Kings are awful, Warriors don't want/need him, and the Clippers would need to take away from their core of bench players. That leaves only the Lakers, and somehow I don't think the Suns are interested in Westbrook for CP3. And somehow I don't think the Suns are keen on moving him since they've been a legit title contender since he arrived.

Timberwolves with a Dlo/CP3 swap.

I think there's something to PHX stepping back, but I wouldn't do it if I was them.

But the deal I liked the most involved Brogdon to PHX with Russ to Indy and CP3/Buddy to LA, before Brogdon got dealt.

Interesting then to see Zach Lowe reporting the Heat organization is interested--though he acknowledges matching salary is very difficult at this point. But Heat fans seemed opposed to the player not just the logistics. This makes a lot more sense to me. They could very much make good use of him. And Heat culture should be able to withstand a guy who wants to start/secure one last contract. I mean this the whole Dipo experience, no?

I don't think Jae Crowder is better than our other options in front. I am intrigued by the Chris Paul discussions though. Man, that would be fun.

The reaction to the trade idea received very negative feedback on Reddit from fans too:

I honestly don't see the Heat being this stupid. Gabe Vincent is not a throw in.

If you could rig the 2023 lottery under one condition, you cannot give your favorite team a top 4 pick. Do not think of it as a fan, think of it as the best interest of the NBA. Is big market good for Vic and Scoot? Is it better to churn interest in a small market? What franchise historically handles young talent best? Which teams aren't constantly tanking? Take whatever measure you consider to be the league's best interest...

Predicting your own lotto teams, who you giving the top 2 picks to in the 2023 draft, in what order and why?

I like pairing Scoot and Vic in the same division...

1. Charlotte - Vic and LaMelo
2. Orlando - Scoot with that young core

??

1. Detroit
2. Chicago (if they miss the playoffs)

??

1. San Antonio
2. Houston

Something like that

Feel like best interest of the lg comes down to profits . Knicks, Mavs , Bulls .

If ignoring profits as best interest . Raptors my vote for awarding a well run organization and not tanking. Griz , Hawks , and Mavs for the entertainment and marketable co stars factors.

Yeah Atlanta is a good one for Vic if they miss the playoffs.

Of course the perfect storm scenario is pairing Victor and Zion as perfect compliment players, true Yin-Yang MVP's to dominate the league the next 10 years.
If Lakers struggle with Westbrook fit and/or AD's availability.... just sayin', it could happen. Extremely unlikely, but does another mid to late lotto pick seems that out of the realm of possibility? Amen to that.

So uhh, wondering if we see Draymond or Poole hit the trade market soon. This is bad.

That looks really really bad.

I don’t know if I’d bet on either getting traded

Yikes--that looks horrible on Draymonds end. He walks into his space, bumps chests and then when Poole pushes him away he just socks him.

I don't really expect either to be traded.

Draymond likely suspended for some time.

All initial reports around the incident looking untrue (Poole talking excessively, Poole taking the punch well)
I bought a boat.

Yeah I'd expect the team to suspend Draymond. But we don't know what was said. So as to who the locker room is with, I'm not sure. Maybe we will see on Sunday.

Makes sense to apologize when you know the tape is coming out.

team already said no suspension and I don't expect them to trade Draymond, but that was bush league and he's got a lot of work to mend fences not just with Poole but with the entire organization. I mean that could have been really bad and he's really lucky no serious injury resulted from that.

Not okay.

That doesn't look like much to me. It's disappointing that the tape was released. These problems are internal.

So-called rigging is because of "unlikely" coincidences in small sample sizes. We see this all the time in data science. People, who are not as logical as machines--I swear I'm not a robot (do you believe me?)--construct stories to explain the world (& bad luck).

I don't see how you see nothing. Or what rigging has to do with any of this. A man as big and strong as Draymond throwing an unexpected punch to the face and then what looks like possibly kneeing him after he's down and against a wall. There is no way to soft peddle this, though I see on the GB thread the usual fake tough guys are doing their utmost.

The rigging was about the lottery, gom is addressing two topics. I disagree on the first, you can't just punch a coworker without repercussions. The NBA should at least suspend him for a game or two.

Maybe but I think we may see a long RFA standoff with Poole if so. Especially if GS stands by not suspending Draymond. If in him I tell them to max me out or I'll get someone else to. Not taking anything less so that y'all can pay the dude who just threw a haymaker at me
