Yeah they have been doing nothing but stadiums. I I saw them at the BC awhile ago. Great show.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yeah, Milwaukee is really boring in the winter for the most part. If the all star break was in the summer they would likely love it. I'm ok with it, players who remain focused on practice and basketball find Milwaukee nightlife less distracting which is fine with me.

How can anyone stay focused when Rosie's and Arts are right down the street?

Was about 20 yards from stage at Lollapalooza a few years back. Incredible show.

The NBA All Star Game is pure cringe now. This latest one was almost embarrassing. Thankfully the TNT crew is still gold. It’s getting to the point where Milwaukee’s scene would be cooler and more refreshing than this bizarre rap/comedy/KIA advertisement show the NBA is turning into. Sure, the national media would find a way to crack on us but deep down everyone knows that mainstream hip hop culture is becoming as much of a joke as hair metal was going into the 1990s.

Milwaukee is a unique city. If we get one, I hope we get a Liberace impersonator clowning around on the piano rather than another 40 year old butthead dressed like a 14 year old boy.

Wisconsin athletics has been pimping this same thing. Wonder if they're playing Camp Randall too?

Metallica October 16th

(also opening the tour in Madison on Sept 2)

I'd imagine both those shows will be killer. Opening of the tour and then the Milwaukee show is after a four week break.

Metallica, Foo Fighters and Eagles 3 nights in a row at the new arena. I'll be there for the first 2.

Good to see Metallica playing arenas again, I hate stadium shows.

Am I wrong? The All Star Game is a joke. Not even the basketball part of it rather the modern day culture surrounding the game. I feel the same way with the Super Bowl halftime show.

Arena Construction - Make pitch for ASG in 22/23. pg 95

Post#1959 » by Buck Dweller » Wed Feb 28, 2018 5:16 pm

it’s not the culture that makes the ASG bad, it’s the boring events. there’s only so much you can do with the dunk contest before it gets gimmicky. the 3pt contest is like watching a shooting drill. and the all star game always ends up looking like a scrimmage.

it’s time to update the events because they’re all majorly played out. maybe you could have the all star game test out new rules, like a deeper 3pt line and wider baselines. or draft teams for a 3v3 21 tourney.

I agree with that, they need something new but I don't really know what that would be. The Rising Star/Skills/Dunk Contest were all cool at one time but not anymore. But they're focused on having a 3 night "event".
