Lauri also can be a very good player if he has the offense run through him he might become a full blown superstar and that's not something I willing to give up at such a young age plus the point is to pair him up with a good core not trade him away to get the other players

Dude.

Anthony Davis is 25. TWENTY FIVE. He's the best two way big in the game by a very long shot. He can switch onto guards and centers. He and Giannis are going to battle for years to come as to who is the #1 player in the league. He's not even in his prime yet, and his success is a combo of skill and athleticism. He will age well.

I hope I eat crow here, but Davis' ceiling is WAY higher than Lauri's. Lauri projects as a star. Davis projects as a HoF.

Ben Simmons will be in that conversation too as best player. Also if Lauri projects as star and is a star for next 10 to 12 years will make the HOF easily. Way too far off to speculate though. I would take Davis over Lauri, but it would be bittersweet.

AD does not want to play center so that pairing won't work. AD, Dunn and Carter would equal top 5 defense though.

hutchison for nwaba. Let's get an experienced contributor back on the team, who brings energy and defense, and can get to the rim. or how about Parker for Nwaba. Let's get someone healthy, who can play d.

No. Why?

This isn't a win now season. It never was supposed to be. He's a rookie--remarkably similar to what Jimmy Butler was as a rookie (22yo defense first wing with a flair for drawing fouls). Give him a chance to play and grow. It's literally ONE regular season game in. Don't just give up on him so easily.

Somehow him playing next to Niko seems to be working quite OK. Going back to the last three months of last season, AD has had the best stretch of his career by far. If he still thinks he shouldn't play 5, he is just limiting his own career.
Surely there is no way to get him to Bulls paired with Lauri, so it doesn't really matter.

I'd do it for a six-pack of miller lite.

They'll let Parker stink it up until Lauri comes back and then take him out of the rotation. Maybe he'll get another shot in a few months. If there is a positive, it's that Jabari (based on his post-game escapes) understands his performance hasn't been what he wants either (vs. a guys who doesn't see it and is just selfish). Kudos to the FO for structuring the deal on a year basis with a 2nd year option.

How about RJ Barrett, Nassir Little, Cam Reddish or Zion WIlliamson?

I mentioned this in the Dunn thread. What's the status on Milos Teodosic? Maybe we can get him for a fairly cheap deal? The Clippers have a few point guards.

Think we could get Spencer Dinwiddie back from the Nets? He’s going to be a UFA and they do have Shabazz there , think we could do a Portis and Lopez for Dinwiddie and Faried deal? Or is that not appealing

How has Pat Bev looked since his injury? I haven't watched a LAC game yet.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

I remember that LA wanted a 1st for Beverly during offseason.

I think the goal should be to find a taker Portis, and hope for a mid-1st back or a starting quality SF. The problem is, nobody seems to need a starting no-defense PF. I'd still love to get an Oubre or one of BKN's SF's (RJH, Levert, or Harris)...maybe Magic for Fournier.

Posted this at T&T, interested to see what you think of it. Bulls and Suns exchange youth...

CHI: Bender, Melton
PHO: Portis, Payne

Suns get a nice, young anx developing stretch 4 ready to contribute immediately, and one that fits the team from fit and age standpoint and is currently on the rise. Might give another look to Payne, he did show some flashes as a backup this year with Bulls.

Bulls take a chance on Bender who has fallen completely out of rotation, but imo still has considerable potential and is a very good fit. They also get a young PG who is out of Suns rotation and behind another young PG (Okobo), but could be interesting fit with LaVine long term. Both guys have more years of cheap team control too.

While I like Melton and think he could develop, we just signed Shaquille to this role, and to this point Melton hasn't proven anything. Portis is far superior to Bender, and Bender appears to be regressing and has now been around for 3 years without showing anything. I might consider Portis, Payne and Holiday for TJ Warren and Melton. At least Warren gives you something at the 3.

I wouldn't mind that type of trade. Lauri considers bender a rival which is cool

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

I think Bender is one of those guys who'd flourish with right change of scenery (hopefully, Bulls would be that) - his base skill set is pretty desirable, and him failing at Phoenix it is more of a mental thing. Return on this risk could be great, though, as he really is talented, and a two way player.

Melton is younger than Harrison, and could be better shooter and playmaker down the road, imo. Guy worth taking a shot at, imo.

Also, allows us more cap flexibility.
