Kevin Love has been a solid to positive (now back to solid) defensive player for like three to four seasons now, people are totally caught up in the past in this conversation.

This is something I have been mulling over for a while. Sure, it is salary hell for Minnesota, but the roster would be....

Chris Paul / Tyus Jones (RFA)
Andrew Wiggins / Josh Okogie
Robert Covington / Cameron Reynolds
Dario Šarić / Keita Bates-Diop
Karl-Anthony Towns /

+#11 and #43

....That honestly would be able to compete for a Championship for two seasons, in my opinion.

Besides what I said about cp3 earlier I WOULD do this deal.

CP3 would pout his way out of Minnesota so fast it would make your head spin.

He probably would. But...he knows Rosas. You never know?

I highly doubt it. I am sure he wouldn't be thrilled, but he doesn't have that kind of choice anymore. Minnesota would have a damn solid roster, I am sure he would be fine.

Capela is the rocket I'd love to get.

If they do that I Wonder if 11 plus okogie and 2020 first is enough for beal? Probably not.
Just draft Nassir Little and Jalen Lecque and call it a day. Two players that have boom potential.

That isn't a championship contender.

Chris Paul isn't the same player he was 5 years ago. He's older, more injury prone (and not known for his health to begin with) and trending downwards statistically. And let's be honest, any team starting Andrew Wiggins is not going to win a championship.

Kudos for getting all the little accents on Saric's name. How'd you do that?

Exactly, ppl act like playing with Harden wouldn't affect a ball dominant PG's stats... We'd be CP3's last hurrah for a ring and if we were to hit on #11 and Wiggins/Okogie improved we'd have just as good a roster as anyone

Chris Paul turned 34 earlier this month. Over his last three seasons, he played 61, 58, and 58 games.

I am rooting for him, but I shudder to think how much production he will provide over the next three.

And after the theatrics of Jimmy Butler, MIN is going to risk bringing the petulant Chris Paul here? I can’t see it at all.

I can see it, if it's the deal dome proposed with Teague and dieng going out, but I've read people sending wiggs +11 or wiggs + saric and thinking is good for us.

I say awful. Teague+Dieng and a lotto protected future 1st is all I'd give up

I think that teams like ORL, PHO will try to trade for CP3. If he agrees to play for them, he would be a good fit.

I wouldn't touch it at all, but even if I did the 1st is too much.

He's just not worth his contract. You don't give up 1sts for that, you GET them. If Houston threw us some 1sts, at least 2 in a Teague/Dieng for Paul deal, then you're getting somewhere.

Knicks supposedly are willing to trade down the #3, to get better complimentary players to Kevin Durant.

Is that more valuable than Covington, or less?

EDIT: Knicks and are saying Ntilinka + #3 for #8 + #10 + Taurean Prince. That seems more appealing to me than #3, though I may be lower on Barrett than most.

I think in our situation healthy RoCo has more value than #3 pich of this draft, because he and KAT can keep us in playoff race. Howver if there is a doubt that he can stay healthy I would trade him immediately for #3
