With Gery, you have to see the forest, and not get caught up in the occasional dead ash tree or two. Can't defend any of the items noted above.

You have to take the incorrect font size and occasional Bo Outlaw mistakes, and simply appreciate the fact he puts stuff out there that the rest of our local media just won't touch, out of fear of the organization jamming down on them reduced team access.

You, I and Jon Horst have watched all three of those guys rip apart the Bucks for the past decade. There is a sort of confirmation bias the latter two of us have on said players. 8-)

But hey, they've all been good enough to be all-stars, and last a long-time in the league.

Teague/Joe/Giannis/Brook was 80% of my championship starting lineup in NBA 2K14.

Make it happen.

Now I'm thinking about Bogdanovic on the Bucks again. Damnit Gery...

He's been really good since his injury. Look at 2:20 and imagine him doing that on the Bucks when Bud's offense stalls.

This is why the national media started fawning all over the Bucks the night that trade leaked. He's got an extra gear in him that Donte doesn't have.

And yes, we'd be on the hook financially, but aren't we going for it this year (and next)?

Wait a minute. How old is Michael Redd? His knees must have healed by now.

Clearly the JJ workout is to distract me from Gery's latest:

https://woelfelspressbox.com/2021/04/botched-bogdanovic-looks-worse-by-the-game-for-bucks/

"Several NBA sources said the culprit for the Bucks’ botched trade was a team executive who, despite his egregious blunder, still remains in the organization.

There’s little doubt the acquisition of Bogdanovic would have significantly bolstered the Bucks’ title hopes. They needed another potent scorer who could stretch defenses with his long-range accuracy.

You could recreate your past 2005 glory with a "Is Bogdan Bogdanovic a better player than Donte" thread.

I wish we had pre-2008 archives here on RGM.

I guess voting Lasry is one way to get him away from the Bucks?

This is why I can't understand how even the staunchest of Donte defenders can write -- with a straight face -- that Donte is better. It's pretty clear to any objective human that Bogdan is the better player and, I think, would've put them over the top.

A closing five of Jrue, Bogdan, Midds, Giannis and any other living human would've made us the leader in the East, if not the entire league.

Gery’s not the only one to cite George Hill as part of the recruitment process for Bogdan:

Sources told me before the attempted trade that Bogdanovic wanted out of Sacramento and was hoping he’d land up either in Philadelphia or Milwaukee. Bogdanovic’s desire was to reunite with then Bucks guard George Hill. Bogdanovic and Hill became close friends while they were teammates with the Kings.

The Bucks agreeing to include Hill (vs Ersan presumably) and some extra picks / swaps sealed the deal for Jrue Holiday.

I’m not saying that the Leaker Who Will Not Be Named didn’t scuttle things. However Gery could be corroborating that the calculus changed for Bogdan too, including that other report about how he thought he was signing here to be the third option offensively.

Also if we are reminiscing about the Bogdan fiasco it may or may not be fair to blame The Leaker alone:

Late that Monday evening, just minutes after the agreement was struck, word reached the news media of Milwaukee and Sacramento's intended sign-and-trade. And during the board of governors' call on Tuesday, several league sources indicated that Bucks governor Marc Lasry stopped just short of bragging about Milwaukee's impressive Monday evening of transactions. However, multiple league personnel participating on the call said they did not remember any Bucks official gloating or any noted behavior or conversation out of the ordinary.

Either way, at least one rival team filed a formal complaint to the league office Wednesday, sources said.

Bogdan would have been perfect with this group.

Good money that GM quote is far from verbatim.

And for the love of Bomani Jones, stop spelling it with an 'a.'

You can't spell meritocraxalcy without 'alex.'

Clarifying... Joe wouldn't be eligible for the playoff roster, right?

He would. That rule is only for waived players.
