Another guy to consider at 58

Shot selection is much like Fred's. Hard to believe he would have the same defensive ferocity and since Masai usually goes for defensive potential (minus Matt Thomas), not sure if Yam is really a dark horse pick.

I have not watched a game of his yet but he’s got a reputation as a high motor defender whos especially good at the point of attack

Questions for him are more jumper based than anything. (Now that sounds like a Masai pick)

Grab a pair of more established players
And then take a risky pick who you can leave in the dleague like Mane or even overseas like Eboua

Again, said it many times, we are not going to stash / oversea.
Not only we have the best development in D-League, also, it did not work well. Jonas first year was not exactly how we would develop him, and he has been more ball dominate than we can train him better with perimeter skills.

I don't understand why we would have drafted players play oversea, not only we are recruiting for undraft to play in D-League, meaning we need more players, also, sending to oversea simply won't "teach" a player like we do, they just want to win.

Wasn't saying that they should do it just mentioning those type of project players.
But leaving someone overseas could also have benefits on the teams cap space especially considering the big desicions they have coming up

It would be the opposite, as 2nd round pick cost less than league min. You are actually benefits on the teams cap with a 2nd round pick contract than a league min.

He seems to be pretty low on a lot players all the other mocks have up much higher. Like Reed,Tillman,Smith and both Beys
Even has Terry going 30th

I wouldnt mind Terry. His shooting, range, playmaking potential and level of competitiveness make him a steal candidate at the end of the first round. Kinda on the small side though at 6'1

I would suggest looking at his big board too. The mock is what he thinks will happen. Perfect example are 2 guys a lot of us like, Xavier Tillman and Grant Riller, he likes in the 1st round but has mocked mid-2nd because that's the feedback he's getting from teams

He's been listed at 6'3, so I'm thinking he's 6'2 without shoes. He seems like his athleticism is more under the rim like Nash, Curry and Trae. But hey 50/40/90 potential.

What are people's thought's on Matt Thomas being like our Steve Kerr but shooting a lot more. Does the team even need any guards? Couldn't he just be the 3rd PG if McCaw finally leaves after next season. With our system I think sharing the rock is easier and just having a guy that can shoot 45% from 3 is good enough.

Patrick Williams, Paul Reed, Xavier Tillman and Pokusevski are my picks for forward.

Of those 4, i only really like Reed. McDaniels looks like he's falling in a lot of mocks, i'd love to trade up to get him if he falls to mid-20ish. 6-10 guys who move and dribble like him are extremely rare. Seems to me most of his issues can be fixed with proper coaching if he's willing to be coached.

Does he have attitude issues or something? Cause the physical profile and defensive potential (alongside his already pretty decent ball handling and satisfactory shoointg) should make him an easy lotto pick.

Yeah I looked at the big board and it makes more sense now.
He's still surprisingly very low on Paul reed in both though
And he doesn't even have Perry in his mock.

Damn! Maybe waiting for his kid to get older too.

I think him and Garza (not sure) going back could solidify them into the early 20s if not teens if X works on his offense and Garza works on this defense. Both players had lost weight for different reasons and another year might do them good.

You mean next year draft being an early 20 pick? If you look at how stack next year draft, they may get drafted worse than this year even they make better improvement.

I'd be surprised if he chose to go back to college. He's got a family to take care of.

There's really no benefits of him going back to college. He's already got 1st round potential and next year he would only be older and in a even better draft. Unless he somehow start hitting 3s consistently I'm not sure how his stock can go up

Maybe he has a promise from Toronto and/or Boston. I can see Boston snatching him up at #26.

He's gonna get drafted and with this confirmation I'd be fine trading back for some 2nds and grabbing him if no one drops to 28th

It doesn't really make sense to go back given the uncertainty of even having a college season. Only reason would be if teams in the first are not showing any interest which I can hardly believe. I could see Boston taking him easily with their roster needs and extra picks.
