I wouldn't use a players shooting in practice to judge how good or bad of a shooter he'll be in the NBA.

E.Kanter, M.Robinson, Melo's boy DSJ and many other non shooters could hit multiple 3 point shots in a row in practice, but it's a whole other thing to hit them in games.

No because everyone is aware he is nice. I’ve said this for weeks, and I stand by it I doubt he gets out the top 10.

Keon Johnson or Moody would be be better PG/Kawhi/Mitchell prospects because no one is talking about them in spite them having a lot of potential.

PG, Kawhi and Mitchell were all lottery picks. everyone knew they were nice too.

Teams got Wesley Jonhson, Udoh, Greg Monroe and Aminu before PG13.

Teams got Versely, Byombo, Brandon Knight, Jimmer Fridette, Burks and Morris Brothers before Kawhi.

Teams got Hezonja, WCS, Mud, Stanley Johnson, Kaminsky, Justise Winslow and Trey Lyles before Booker.

Teams got Josh Jackson, Frank, DSJr, Zach Collins, Monk and Kennard before Donovan.

Tommorow is the day where he officially plays himself out of our range

He's gonna have a bunch of individual work outs that are gonna do that too realistically I always thought getting a chance to draft him was a pipe dream. That's why I was always so shocked to see him so low on so many mock drafts especially when you watch the tape of the guys that are ahead of him in the 6-10 range. There's legit no good argument to pick someone like Franz Wagner or Scotty Barnes over him IMO. We just need to hope that there's a bunch of dumb teams that are willing to let him fall into the late lottery so we have a chance to pounce at him.

I'm actually shocked Bouknight is becoming this board's consensus. He's usually the antithesis of who this board lusts after lol

We finally got over our iso scorers phobia I mean realistically we watched this team be very successful without a true number one option and the resurrection verse of Rose be our primary perimeter creator. As great as Randle was he doesn't operate in the right parts of the floor to be that number one option. I think there's another level to RJ's game but he's most likely not going to be that number one option either. When you look at Bouknight's game you could see him being that number one option cuz of how and where he creates. He might end up only being a Jordan Clarkson type guy but he fits the description of a guy you want to go and get you a bucket. Let's just hope he falls past 10.

I ain’t gonna hold y’all. I’m calling the kings tomorrow and getting the #9 pick for 19, 21 & 58. I’ll take Hield. He’ll replace Bullocks and we due a decently bad contract. Lol. He has 2 years left and his money dips every season. He can be the backup 3 and he’ll be serviceable enough to be tradeable, even if we gotta add him to a package at the deadline or next offseason for a sign and trade. He’d be good with the 3 ball off the bench with IQ too.

I’d sit at 9 until draft night and wait and see where the bouknight buzz is. I think we could get him there.
I know the FO is imagining the things we can do with him in a lineup with Randle and RJ.
We’d still have cap to bring on any PG we want & a serviceable big. Sit at 32 and see who falls.

His point still stands. Bouk is a better shooter flat out, there is no argument. Also, he shoots a lot of off the dribble pull ups so while he may never become an efficient outside shooter by percentages, he's still going to be plenty effective pulling up from outside. The value in his abilities is that he's a triple threat scorer, so as long as he can be effective in the mid range and getting to the basket he is going to be an offensive weapon. Similar to a Devin Booker. Now can he function as a high usage ball handler on the next level like Booker has proven to be, that remains to be seen, but his skill set suggests he should have no problem so it's up to how he understands the game and how hard he works to keep getting better that will determine how good he becomes on the next level.

My point also still stands. You absolutely cannot go off of what a player does with his shooting in practice to predict what he'll be as a shooter in the NBA and i would guess that actual scouts and GM's and coaches don't either.

I have no idea what Bouk or Cooper will be as shooters in the NBA cause a big part of these kids making it at the next level is what they have between the ears and the confidence they have in themselves and if the moment will be too big for them and all of that stuff are things that can't be predicted until it's actually seen in actual NBA games. The work they put in will obviously be huge for them to get better at shooting and everything else they work on but i'm talking about what's between the ears which is something we can't know.

I like Bouk and am all about drafting him if he makes it to 19 or 21 and would even trade up a few spots for him but his 3 point shooting does worry me. I also really love everything Cooper can do and think he'll be a good NBA PG with his elite level quickness and vision and passing but his shooting i have much less confidence in, but again you never know if this kid just translates better to the NBA game and the work he puts in with his shooting ends up working for him.

So you think he'll be one of the best shooters in the NBA which Booker is? That would be great if we drafted him and it came true but i'm sticking with the Lavine comparison which is still real nice and the kind of player i'd love to have and still a good shooter.
