#4 for #6 and Darren Collison.

Get ready for it. Melo already whined about having a 19 year old PG taking a while to learn the ropes. Phil may as well have drew a picture of Stein when he described the center he wanted (at least defensively). It's coming people. Prepare dat ass.

I will never be prepared for that lol. I love Melo, but F what he thinks when it comes to the draft and free agency.

Exactly.

There isn't a PG like Mudiay in the market, tho. Wouldn't you rather draft Mudiay and pay Jordan to play center?

In today's league, you can get by with an okay center.

If Towns , Okafor, and Mudiay are off the board at 4, and Russell is the one still there, I'm leaning towards taking either Winslow or WCS because their defense improves our on court performance more than Russell's scoring will. If Mudiay is on the board, I'll take Mudiay and pay DeAndre.

It really sucks that the Knicks have so many holes on the roster. We need a PG, SG, PF, and C. It might really come down to which position Phil feels needs the most attention, and he might just go with best fit instead of BPA which I dread.

Basically. We have holes everywhere. This is also why I want to move Melo to the big forward spot. It's do much easier finding wings than it is a solid big.

If we have Willie:
Willie
Melo
FA SF
FA SG
Langston

I want him to go BPA between Towns, Mudiay, and yes Okafor. Russell I can live with Phil passing on if he gets us Winslow or WCS.

darren collison really? and thats it.

No Calderon involved in the trade? No future picks coming the knicks way via Sacremento?

Collison is not the difference between 4 and 6.

I mean right now the nuggets would give us Lawson and more to fall to 7. The kings would have to pony up a lot lot more than just collison.

Moving Melo to the PF spot would definitely be better for our offense, and maybe for our defense. I don't want WCS tho, not after a season as bad as this.

cheap rebounding/defending C
Melo
Carroll
Green
Mudiay

This lineup is actually achievable with our cap space, and we'd have very good spacing, defense, and 3 point shooting....there would be tons of space for Melo and Mudiay to operate. Also, this lineup is filled with high IQ players. The center would be a stop gap until we can afford better with the exploding cap. This should be a playoff team as well next season so no lottery pick to Denver

I agree with BPA. I just wouldn't be able to pass up Russell for Winslow or WCS. I think that his potential for stardom far surpasses those 2...his defense is a concern tho.

WCS is not ready to anchor a NBA defense. I also question his desire and BBIQ

If we dump Jose: Gasol (18M) - Carroll (6M) - Green (8M) or Middleton/Butler/Harris for the max with THJ/Gallo at SG

WCS can't score outside of 5 feet, and can't score without being setup. We do not have the point guard play to set him up for easy looks. Y'all must have forgotten what Deandre looked like before CP3 came along
