This is the wrong take. Kittle needs to play. Obviously the field will be in great shape this weekend since there's been so much scrutiny around it.

Even if Greenlaw plays, I don't expect him to be effective. We've done well against TEs, but Evan Engram is a different breed (since he's basically a WR). Unless Saleh drastically changes the base defense, Daniel Jones should have the most time he's seen this season in the pocket which means Engram and Darius Slayton could eat our secondary alive.

We are playing the Giants.......

Defense... that’s worrisome

Shanahan is tied with Washington and Detroit for the most 3 and outs thus far. I'm glad Coleman is out, but also kind of weary. If we run run run, this game should end in a victory, but with McKinnon and WIlson in the backfield, we might be more inclined to pass whereas I think Shanny's undying love for Coleman would produce more carries.

Sunday is without a doubt a LOSS, I’ve never been impressed by Mullens at all. He’s garbage.

On a positive note I am glad Kittle is not playing on that disgusting turf, we definitely don’t need him to have a season ending injury.

The Giants are bad, and banged up to boot, but we're in such rough shape that we can't afford to take anyone lightly. Sanu should play this week, and hopefully Aiyuk will be more involved. But Jones could hurt us with his legs. I didn't realize Greenlaw was going to be out. That sucks. He's been our best tackling LB.

Sanu played last game against the Jets.

He was dressed, but if he played, it was sparingly. Looks like he might have gotten 13 snaps. I'm expecting more from him this week.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting big things from Sanu. But he can't be worse than Pettis at this point.

I would rather have Bourne start and play more of the time to be honest. Seems like he has pretty good rapport with Mullens

Man the other NFC teams got easy opponents for several weeks, Giants, Jets, Washington, Dolphins, etc.

Seems like interdivisional games will be the most competitive, though Cards are losing right now.

Seattle could go like 8-0 or 9-0 at this pace.

Ultimately though, with the losses on the defensive line, it will be very hard to compete vs. the Seahawks, maybe the Cards too.

Not to mention other NFC teams and then should they somehow win the NFC, either Baltimore or KC again.

They've had a favorable schedule so far and it's very early so no talk of tanking yet.

But man, this team could go to another level if they were able to draft a top-end edge rusher and find a way to dump Ford's salary by getting a top 5 or top 10 pick this year.

Could also use more help at LB, OL and the secondary as well.

I'd say we ended up taking the Giants just how we should have taken them. Bummer that Reed got hurt but our replacements stepped up against a bad team just as we expected them to.
