This! we shouldn't overvalue this draft so much. specially late lottery picks like our 10th.

Russell is being massively undervalued right now. He just turned 21 in February. He's super young, fits the timeline, and is better than any prospect at 10. I'd eat a contract to trade 10 for Russell.

I agree. However, and unfortunately, Jackson nor Tatum will be there at 5. So, this scenario is out the door.

1. 76ers - Fultz
2. Lakers - Ball
3. Celtics - Tatum
4. Suns - Jackson

So then you take Jonathan Isaac.

Totally forgot about him lol.

5. Isaac
10. Trade: Russel & Big contract

I agree that taking 1 of the tree (Jackson, Tatum or Isaac) at 5 and then trading 10 to lakers for Russel and eat one of their big contracts would be great. What about eating up another big contract of theirs for their 28th pick?

Kings receive: Russell, Deng, Mozgov & #28 pick
Lakers receive: #10

I'll still take it any day and twice on Sunday. I believe OG will improve from range anyways. People may doubt but my realistic comp for him is Kawhi. He went from 29% in college to 38% in pros. And Buddy shot 42% last year for us.

Nah that's not enough value to eat both lol.

Yeah, there's no way I eat both of those contracts to pick up the 28. I'd be hesitant to eat one of them, it's a lot of money. If LAL wanted 10 for DLo/Deng/28 though, I would take that.

If you are going to eat contracts - negotiate with Portland.

I mean, if we can pull that off and get DSJ at 8, that would be amazing. But they aren't giving up their 8th. It would take that offer minus receiving the 8th to be in the ballpark of getting KP.

Something that I've been noticing and makes me really comfortable (but excited) about this draft for the kings, it seems like there are a dozen scenarios for the Kings that can play out and tbh they all look very good and promising. There's a lot we could do in this draft.

If Knicks trade Porzi it seems like they can draft Markkanen with #8.

In this scenario PZ trade almost guarantees one Ntilikina/DSJ/Monk fall to to 10. I saw Ntilikina's Euro coach is joining the Mavs summer league coaching staff. I wonder if the Mavs big board has him rated higher than DSJ?

I think Monk can fall, while Phily will take Fultz.

I could see Monk falling. How does Philly relate here?
