Yea I guess it depends how it shakes out. I do want to get rid of melo, but think he has more value then we are giving him credit for. I just dont want to take on bad contracts and get nothing back

Yes Morey wants Melo but the Rockets wont trade Capela their lone asset. They dont even have a tradable pick until 2020, which Morey would surely protect top 3 as he did in the Paul trade.

Don't WE have the leverage? Morey needs Melo to compete in the west. He knows CP3 and Harden aren't good enough. CP3 signed a one year deal too I believe. It's all or nothing.

the rockets wont trade 2 starters in gordon and arize for one.
no team wants anderson.
they can't trade a 1st round pick until 2020.

u could spin it that way, but the Knicks absolutely do not want to start next season with Melo still on the roster
