How do you view his “leader in assists for 3pters”? I COULD BE WRONG. I think its an overrated aspect of his offense and more of a byproduct of his inability to score.

I dont mind him leading in that category if he’s also scoring atleast 20 a game. Like someone like Harden, Doncic, chris paul or Lebron. Breaking down the defense at will then scoring or kicking it out to open shooters.

But if he’s scoring Norman Powell scoring numbers or single digits while leading in that category, I dont think it means that much and just mean that he just drives a lot and has to kick it out because he can’t score off them. We’ve seen how many bail out 3s guys like Roco and Dario have to jack up before.

People asks why Melo, Jordan or Kobe are ball hog?And you can also see Embiid suffering from this. Its because these guys knows they can make any shot so it kind of hard (hard not impossible)for them to decide whether to pass or shoot.

But for a guy like Ben or TJ MccOnnell or Draymond, these guys can’t shoot or score so their dominant instinct is always to pass. And when you pass ALOT, it’s not that good and you may lead the league is “passes per 36” and other assists related categories which isnt as valuable without looking at the entire context.

For our team it’s pretty valuable generating threes to give space for Embiid, and Ben does it the best still. I actually like how they are using Ben now.
I accept Ben for what he is. Play great defense, generate threes for the team. Roll man/Centralize playmaking passing big, transition initiator outlet passer that sorta thing.

I mean they both would look far superior with the ideal elite PG/SG for them both, so both are going to look worse then what they are at times it’s just how the team is. Fwiw I still like Ben as the third banana over Harris, Harris has had a better year but I still see Ben has having more value in the end. Could be wrong but the playoffs should bore that out. We have about as easy as a run to get to the ECF, can’t ask for much more then that.

It as of now a Superstar surrounded by a deep support cast. In the off-season the aim is to get a really good 2nd option that’s about it. And every player should compliment Embiid as best as they can.

We are very close to having the team setup as best as it can be.

Yeah. I think there’s some value to it like he can deliver those passes to open shooters. But I just dont think it’s that valuable that you can say “its ok for him to not be able to score as long as he is elite in passing to 3pt shooters”
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Oh no certainly not that doesn’t excuse his individual offensive woes. But our team’s 3pt% is far better when Ben is on the floor I believe, so he does generate the most dividend (3).

Both bigs need to get fed more but we don’t have an elite guard atm both their scoring went up when Butler came in. It just takes the pressure off when he ticks the scoreboard over (fouls) and facilitates at a high enough level.
We can play pseudo 2 guard ball with any mix of Milton, Curry, Hill, Maxey for Embiid/Ben and wings Green/Korkmaz for both.

Ben’s production went down in the playoffs with Butler at the helm but his efficiency was better which I didn’t mind. Harris though can’t tick the scoreboard over when real pressure is on and requires abit too much setup/usage time and revolve for a 3rd option. The off-ball utility is good not great and I reckon there’s better options down the line.

I do like Ben playing as passing/playmaking non shooting Big it isn’t hard to make it work out okay in the end. Want to see more post attacking positions, roll sets, screens, pnrs, receiving of plays and top of the key handouts to attack. I’m not a fan of Ben’s self creating at the start of half court offensive sets. Giannis has had troubles with that consistently and he has more tools/more aggressive, now he’s utilizing the space more and getting post play too so there’s a healthy mix at the Bucks with two extra shot creators to open up the variety. Holiday for Bledsoe works out so much better for them.

Bucks are the real deal imo

Don't really see what to have mixed feelings about at this point. He is a very good player, but will always be exploited as ball handler on offence in playoffs.

Considerng the fact that we **** up all opportunities to add elite ball handler to Joel/Ben duo, we'll have to trade Ben for one this summer. It will become painfully obvious in playoffs.
