He sounds lost and confused in this interview. I’m not looking forward to his book’s media campaign. Not getting a positive vibe at all.
Did he get released by ESPN as well? I haven’t seen him on that Rachel Nichols podcast in a while.
Too be honest this isn't the first time he dug himself into a hole. He trashed the Bulls after his trade. This is his media campaign for his book and he is selling his popcorn and bourbon at the same time. he doesn't need the Bulls he is building his own brand. What does he really have to lose? Jerry is basically done with the Bulls and Michael wasn't going to give him a job anyway after what happened the last time he left and trashed the Bulls. From his standpoint it isn't really a bad move, he sees it as any press is good press. Thats how a lot of celebrity works. I mean who could get famous by releasing a sex tape but that has been done, but no one has called Phil racist before. He has products to sell with his hot takes unlike some other people speaking out. Literally though him and Kwame could do a show all about how evil Jordan is.
Whats the fallout for Pippen on calling Phil racist? People would be man he is so crazy... which makes him only more marketable. For Phil it can tarnish him, but no one is believing Pip and everyone mostly sees it for what it is. Making that accusation though doesn't hurt Pip at all really.
