In his title year he ran a deeper bench didn't he? With Brown and KCP as well as the guys still there. The trouble was they lost bench guys after the chip and didn't replace

The two great wing defenders are limited in what they can do by the horrid defense of Kat and the below average D of Brunson. Along with Hart's lack of shooting ability.

But Thibs is so set in his ways I highly doubt he'll change the starters

Thibs just please start freakin Robinson before he turns his ankle again and then the series is really over. Oh and play Precious.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

He's maximizing the 7 players he plays. Their bench isn't perfect but he could use it better. Plus he doesn't have a good offense, it's all disjointed and iso heavy.

If he was coaching the Pacers roster, or the Cavs regular season, they wouldn't be nearly as good. He wouldn't use bench guys like Carlisle tonight, or Atkinson all season.

I keep saying Achiuwa could really help them if Tibs played him.

Adds rebounding and defense to let others get a bit more rest.

But NY's biggest issue is how much they rely on Brunson to create. The pressure Indy puts on him all game is crazy and NY can't do the same to Haliburton because they are always tired.

7 guys over 25 mins, Payne with 9. Playing 7.5 guys vs Indy just isn't enough. Meanwhile Indy plays 11 guys...10 of them over 8 mins. Bridges playing 45 mins is just nuts.

Sometimes less is more and Tibs has not figured that out.

Well said. I’ve been disappointed in Mikal Bridges, he’s due for a break out game. Where’s the guy that dropped 26,5,3 on 60 TS after getting traded out of Phoenix? No reason why he hasn’t been able to take some of the offensive load. Thibs needs to better utilize him

The irony of this board thinking SGA would demand a trade from OKC after winning MVP and most likely winning a championship because OKC might not retain their players. Everyone leaves Toronto and the only players that didnt want to leave we traded and two of them are in the Eastern Conference Finals.

I like the idea of the Knicks vs Wolves final. I like OKC but prefer this Wolves team. ANT is fun to watch. The Randle come back is a good story. And I'd love for Conley to get a ring he's been a pure pro throughout. Also, it would be funny to see the Pacers fizzle out after Hali's cockiness. And what's not to love about seeing the Knicks lose in the finals?

If the Knicks are relying on precious **** achiuwa to save them, they might as well forfeit the series.

I thought precious was injured?

If not, they could DEFINITELY benefit from some spot minutes from him and have Kat sit alot more.

As an objective observer.....I put 70% of their problems on Kat. 30% on lack of secondary ballhandling.

Losing both IQ and Dante has kinda left them with very few ballhandlers. Resorting to Payne is too big a drop-off just to put someone on the floor that can dribble. RJ had an above average handle for his size and position too. Randle too. So if you think about it....almost every move they made created more and more deficit in that specific department.

Seems like we see this problem every playoffs where teams just don't have enough guys that can carry the ballhandling duties. You get away with it during the regular season because Noone has the energy to play up-close defense for am entire season. But once the ball pressure in playoffs starts...you get exposed for not having that in your rotation.

Minnesota making all their 3s… all I could think about watching their offense the past 2 games was how ugly it looked with them jacking up and bricking all their 3s… now they’re making them all.

Oh yeah, why is that? I think it would be pretty close. Plus it has the intrigue of the big trade in action. I think OKC will wipe the floor with which ever Eastern team that plays them. We shall see.

I just don’t like how either of them play.

That being said I’m turning this game off okc is getting destroyed.
