Yeah, top 2 or 3 protection wouldn't be bad, as we could win the lottery again.
Still, I think Olshey would protect it some and I don't think it would be that big of a problem for the Nuggets, who'd receive a solid asset for Gallinari.

BTW $2.5M of his last season is unguaranteed, which is odd, but interesting and I had no clue. I have no idea what kind of salary we will add between now and then, which is what makes everything tricky. Kaman, Foye and Cook will be coming off of the books, and Gomes will become an expiring along with BD of course. We'll have our 2011 pick/player, the Minnesota pick/player, Bledsoe, Aminu & Warren as sweeteners. I think that we could clear salary (e.g. Gomes) if we needed to by shipping him along with one of those pieces to a team with enough cap to absorb the salary hit. Then we'd still have a lot left over to offer a decent trade proposal to the team of the free-agent.
If a Melo situation occurs where their team seeks to trade them before they hit free-agency, then it becomes a bit more difficult as seen with the "Melodrama."
That news on Baron's contract could be very important, especially with the new CBA that's probably going to force teams to look more at their salaries.
Looking at those expirings going into next season we could be a player starting this summer and going through next years deadline, if the new CBA's been worked out by then.
I think thanks to that(and this Gallinari rumor) we'll hold onto Kaman for now and look to deal him starting at this years draft.
By then he can show that he's back and healthy, while also being in the final year of his contract, which is easier to swallow finacnial wise for other teams.
Anyways, it should be interesting what kind of moves Olshey makes next.
