DEN and HOU have a trade to announce.

DEN outgoing:
Andre Miller $7,807,728
Danilo Gallinari $4,190,182
Timofey Mozgov $3,343,896
Kenneth Faried $1,072,900
Jordan Hamilton $922,400
DEN 2012 1st (unprotected)
total: $17,337,106

HOU outgoing:
Kevin Martin - $11,519,840
Luis Scola - $8,591,793
Jonny Flynn - $3,414,720
total; $23,526,353

It works since I am comfortably under the cap.

Kevin Martin is a 24 ppg scorer who is still only 27 years old on a good contract. He makes up the scoring we lost when Melo left town. Scola is 18/8/3 on solid man defense, good offensive bigs are hard to find these days.

Houston confirms this trade. While the loss of Luis Scola and Kevin Martin are huge, neither fit the long term plan of acquiring young assets (and picks) to build a contender for the long haul. Scola's age and Kevin's aggressive style made us worry about their future contributions.

Gallo and Mosgov are 'proven' prospects who fill positions of need for the Rockets. Hamilton & Faried are both 'potential' guys that Morey & Company wanted at the draft. Andre is an outstanding contributor who is still a team option that could be released prior to the season. This was too good an offer in the Rocket demographics to pass on.

Trade #11

MIA sends:

Mario Chalmers (S&T $2,200,000, 3 yrs, PO on 3rd year)
J.J. Hickson ($2,354,537)
Mike Miller ($5,400,000)

Total: $9,954,537

ORL sends:
Jameer Nelson($7,800,000)
Quentin Richardson($2,446,200)

Total: $10,246,200 < 1.25*9,954,537

Salaries work! We don't like losing Hickson because he's so athletic, but gaining Jameer, leader and pretty good PG who can shoot, we like that and we like cutting Miller's contract down to Quentin's.

After trade #11 all trades with teams that have un-updated rosters or that do not have total salaries on their rosters won't be included. Also, math needs to be clearly worked out (see the opening post). Also, after trade #11 any team that prematurely updates their salaries (prior to trade approval) will not have their trade approved and will have to re-post. Sorry for being difficult, but it is just going to become too time consuming if I have to verify every part of a trade because people are not being thorough or following the rules for this game. If you have any question email me or post in the discussion thread.

Thank you.

Orlando accepts trade #11. We like getting 2 young players in Hickson and Mario. Mike Miller could be very good solid wing off the bench. Of course, loosing Jameer hurts, but you have to lose something to improve. Getting rid of Quentin's contract is pretty nice too.

Trade # 12

MIA sends:
Tyreke Evans ($4,151,640)
QRich ($2,446,200)
Joel Anthony ($3,300,000)

Total: $9,897,840

DEN sends:
Kevin Martin ($11,519,840)

$9,897,840*1.25+$100,000 = $12,472,300.00 > $11,519,840. Monies work. We do this to have a better 3pt shooter to compliment LBJ. Also, w/ Thornton we have plenty of depth at SG and we recently acquired Jameer, so there was a bit of a logjam at PG (sorta). We also shed some contracts :). Great dealing DEN!

We finally add a franchise player back to Denver. Reke had a down year, but I'll take a 21 year old that put up 18/5/6/1.5. At 6'6 he has the size and slashing ability to compliment Lawson quite well.

DEN and LAL have a trade to announce.

DEN outgoing:
Luis Scola $8,591,793
Chris Andersen $4,533,300
Ty Lawson $1,654,440
2012 GS 2nd
2013 GS 2nd
total: $14,779,533

LAL outgoing:
Pau Gasol $18,714,150

Pau is 19/10/3 and 1.7 blocks, he is in the prime of his career. He makes us a playoff team and maybe a contender after a few more moves.

Deal Accepted.

It's tough getting rid of a legit star like Pau Gasol, but I just cut 4$million in salary. Scola is a solid low post scoring big man and he's a good passer as well. Ty Lawson helps fix our problems at the point guard position, and we also get youth for the future.

Chris Andersen is a good hustler and defender off the bench and he completes a good 4 man big rotation.

Upon approval of trades 5 and 7, Golden State and LAC have a trade.

LAC in / GS out:
Stephen Curry - $3,117,120
Cole Aldrich - $2,286,000
Total salaries - $5,403,120

GS in / LAC out:
Kevin Love - $4,609,701
Eric Bledsoe - $1,596,360
Total salaries - $6,206,061

Golden State accepts. Never thought I'd trade Curry in this game, but Love is one of the few young players I like even better.

LAC accepts. This is the reason I traded for Love, to add Curry and Wes Johnson to Blake to form an awesome core

DEN and OKC have a trade to announce.

DEN outgoing:
Pau Gasol $18,714,150
Kosta Koufos $2,203,792
DEN 2013 2nd
total: $20,917,942

OKC outgoing:
Monta Ellis $11,000,000
Kendrick Perkins $7,373,626
Nick Collison $3,272,997
total: $21,646,623

We get a 2nd star to pair with Tyreke Evans in Monta Ellis. Ellis and Reke will wreck opposing backcourts, and we get a big defensive anchor in Perkins. He has championship experience and can anchor our defense. He is also quite young. Our starting 5 is young and can compete now.

Deal is confirmed. It was a hard deal to make but Gasol is a star in the Paint with rings to show for it. Denver also included its 2nd round pick 2012.

Trade #15

Houston & NJ Nets Trade Announced

The Houston Rockets have traded SF Danilo Gallinari ($4,190,182) to the New Jersey for the Nets recently acquired SG Wes Matthews ($6,135,160). Houston has about $10M in capspace and can absorb the difference in salaries. The Knicks also returned the full interest in Houston's 2012 1st round pick.

Houston hated losing Gallo in this move but felt there were more SF prospects to be found than players who have shown the development on both ends of the court as Wes Matthews.

Confirmed. We like Gallo's potential more than Matthews', and the pick was lotto protected so we wouldn't see it for a while.

Confirmed. Rondo/Gallo/Aldridge is a nice trio, and we've got plenty of capspace to make additional moves.
