I agree what's up with people wanting to trade down yes having two pick sounds good but we are passing up better players then we can get at pick number three i just prefer if we did not trade are pick at all.
I look at it like this, trading Blatche, we lose the amnesty provision (I think), fine, but we actually get the cap space, management doesn't have to worry about amnestying him, then hoping someone signs him to a deal. His contract is shed off the books, Ted owes him nothing, and we get two first round picks out of it, not to mention cap room. #14 and #16 picks make what...less than $1.3 mil a year? My math is off, but we could be looking at $5 to $6 mil in cap room this year. More than enough to add end of bench guys, maybe re-sign James Singleton. It gives us options.
