2 years 9 million. He'll give the Stars some extra scoring, which they really need.

Everyone's talking about where Doan's going to end up. I wonder if he'd consider Winnipeg, it'd be a great story and he'd help that team out a ton.

Colby Armstrong playing for the Habs, while being paid by the Leafs. Love it.

Me too. That's gotta sting.

But if he can stay healthy that could be a great signing for the Habs.

Canes signed Joe Corvo for the 3rd time. Needed some more defense, so I am good with it. 1 year for $2 mil.

Methot for Foligno. Don't get this one for Ottawa at all.

Wings sign Tootoo to a 3 year deal. Not the Pred I had my heart set on, but I really like this deal. He's tough and hits people and isn't a liability. We needed a guy like this

We also signed Mikael Samuelsson again, which has me livid. Full NTC and is making 3 million per. On a team that needs to get younger and has way too many forwards. One of Hollands dumbest signings ever

Word is the Canes are making a hard push to be the team for which Nash waives his no trade clause. But stiff competition.

Canes informed late Sunday they were out of running for Parise. Rutherford offered to go to Toronto to speak with he and his agent, and bring along both Muller and Eric Staal, but they were told it would be of no use. Rats! So they are now pushing hard for Nash.

+1.

I keep hearing the experts critizing Jason Garrison as a one hit wonder, but Parenteau is just as unproven in my mind.

I wouldnt say Garrison is a one hit wonder, but he has one above-average skill and that is his shot (yes, 16 goals but only 17 assists). And that one skill earned him $27.6mil from Vancouver......

Sami Salo to Tampa is a real nice signing for them IMO

Habs apparently aren't done; Bergevin is the man. Armstrong, Boullion and Prust, and apparently Jaromir Jagr himself called Bergevin and said he wants to play with Pleks and Kaberle in Montreal and there's a 1 year, 3 mill offer on the table.

Also rumors from Florida of a Bourque trade happening, with Kopecky and Versteeg's names coming up. I'd be happy with either.

Just moved this weekend, so internet is sporadic. I see the Hawks made a bellyflop of a splash with the Brookbank signing.

As you were.

And Brodeur ends the drama and resigns in New Jersey.

Really like what Montreal has done so far. They haven't made any big moves but they changed they dynamic of their team with moves they made.

Being reported in Raleigh that the Canes are out on Suter. Could have used that Defense. Oh well, still pushing hard on Nash.

I don't think the Canes were ever in on Suter. He didn't want to play there. I think it comes down to Detroit, Minnesota and Nashville.
