last year we lost because of defence (Ziggy will help be a force), and we also need another receiver opposite of johnson who could spread the field hopefully we will get that player in the second round.
Defence Wins Championships,we need to return to the Bad Boy era.

Ziggy played guitar ........................

the crazy name it works I can't wait to see him line up with Suh and Fairley.

Could be a superstar and make our d-line dominant.

I get the likely thought process here by Schwartz - When you have 2 plugs in the middle in Suh/Fairely who both can command double teams, just put the best athlete you can find next to them and you'll probably succeed.

It makes sense. I'm not in love with the pick, because I would've preferred more of a sure thing, but I'm excited about the potential we have now on defense, and I did want defense over offense with this pick.

If Ziggy could be the next Julius Peppers or Jevon Kearse, its probably worth the risk in this draft that lacked sure thing starpower at the top

i sure am glad that I didnt spend any time worrying about the Lions pick this year. I dont understand why you take a project at 5 when you have a team thats pretty much built to win now. it sucks we couldnt trade back.

I'm more excited that only WR is off the board in the mid 20s. Someone should be there for us

considering how our last 2, 2nd round WR's are doing, it actually worries me. i'd much rather go OT.

There are still a couple of those too. Point is, we should see good value at our pick

i was reading up on him, he's a project with his technique, however his athletic ability allows him to still make plays and he apparently has really good awareness at the point of attack and understanding of how the blocking sets up the play. he's 6'6" 270 athletic freak. he's definitely going to impact our team from the get go, its more a concern of what we could have had or done with the pick that worries me.

I hope so, I got faith in the staff (if they're here long enough) to develop him, but can he replace Avrils production next year? I would have liked to trade back and get one of the guards or a safety. I stopped watching the draft after the Lions pick, so im not sure how the rest of the 1st rd played out, but I think moving back and picking up one of the guards or Vaccaro in the 1st and adding a DE with the extra 2nd rd pick we got would have helped us a little more as far as next season goes.
