Good to see you willb! Congrats. I hope that's your baby on your chest.

A few of the old group still post on KFFL.com (recently bought by USA Today). It's a little barren there, because we don't know how long the message board will stay up, but feel free to stop by there at the Skins forum if you don't mind folks saying it's great to see you back.

My wife says so. But the baby''s so cute I don't think I'd care at this point even if she weren't!

I love all the folks here... a lot of you I've known for more than 10 years. That's what keeps me coming back. I miss Greendale, StillDroppin20, especially Hoopalotta and all the folks that have stopped through for a few seasons and went elsewhere. You guys have made me into the a*hole I am today and for that I'm truly grateful LOL!

You're giving us too much credit. You did that all yourself.

Ohio is about to win an NBA Championship.
Something the DC area hasn't had in 37 years.

This is relevant how?

Living in Ohio is still a death sentence.

The cookie cutter Ohio sprawl is no different than the blocks and blocks of CVS, Starbucks and Whole Foods in your beloved Washington DC.

Let's take a moment to appreciate Wes_Tiny_Abe, possibly the greatest troll in the history of the internet. He just managed to turn the long lost wizfans thread into an argument about DC gentrification. He has done this for years. And he does this on a fan board for the Wizards, a team with no bandwagon fans, a team which, in the unlikely event it becomes the subject of conversation with a DC transplant, will say either, "I didn't know there are Wizard fans" or "I only follow college basketball."

Hah! You wouldn't believe me if I told you.

(Where's that 'True Story' thread, I've got some large true lies to tell... somebody post in that or the poetry thread and maybe I'll share some impossible tales as well)

Ed Wood! Missed that guy.

Funny every few years I disappear in some rabbit hole or another, and it usually takes one of these threads to smoke me out. Ahh narcissism, how delicious. What I do like is the roll call of old heads showing up, and I'm happy pine has been a regular presence this year, even jro registered a thought or two during the playoffs. I still peek in, just the brains and all have been busy.

Thanks for the hello though fish my man. Preciate it.

Shoot, two grandkids, still one of the youngest grandpops I know. (The kid is 4.5 and smart and opinionated and stubborn. Gets it all from her mother. The emotional part she probably gets from daddy, the old softie).

That said ohmilord we get a mini canned ham coming too? Seriously felicidades. Happy to hear we are seeding the world with cynical hopeless diehards. One of my favorite Wiz memories was Gilbert killing Chicago with that dagger three in the playoffs and reading my man MrSusan Induveca saying f--- it, I'm in, pitching the sour attitude for a few giddy moments before Wade and them toasted us the next series. :clown: Ah hope, a hellofadrug. Happy it caught you and let you spawn at least one replacement wizfan.

I appreciate your appreciation. You have a gift for being able to articulate the true meaning of sports fandom. Glad you are well.
My boy is also 4.

I hope Cramer is in Turkey, continuing to closely follow the career of Scottie Reynolds.

Yeah, now that Doc's back, it'd be cool for Cramer, Hoopa, Ed Wood, SD20 and a bunch of others that left a mark here to return. The beer is cold.

Maybe this is in the HOF thread IDK, I think it was Doc but I am still wishing I knew
where to re-read a crazy-true post about how the Wizards need absolute fanaticism
from more than just a insignificant smattering of fans. Anyone else remember that
post?

Kudos to all the new (and not so new) dads out there! Having children will make you reprioritize what you do with your time. After my first son started moving around on its own, I found I didn't have so much free time. Before kids, I had a weekly radio show (volunteer DJ at a college station) and I regularly edited music/mashed it up for fun. Then basically found that the time with the kiddies is more important (and also found they hurt themselves and break everything if I wasn't paying attention:-)
