Celtics can't win in Atlanta so even if they tie it up in Boston, this series is close to being done. Hawks have home court, and seem to want it more .

Not even sure we can win one in Boston, man.

Pack the paint. Build a mansion with the bricks. They haven't solved that one bit. Then when they get layups they clank them like scrubs. Sad when Amir and Rozier are players of the game.

You guys need to ease up alittle, its not bad. You know you guys might get Simmons or Ingram this summer, which would be huge. What a great piece to add to what is already a really good core you guys have.
Even if the Nets' pick falls out of the top two, you guys can still get a decent starter and some size.

Played them dead even for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters. But 24-7 1st quarter is tough to overcome. It's the same **** that's happened since the Charlotte game. 4 games in a row where we go down 20 before halftime..sickening. Absolutely sickening. They talk about it ALL week long and boom..happens again. Like come on. Clean that up and we can beat these guys..no matter how **** we are. In Boston our scrubs will probably play a little better, guys like IT, Smart and Jae should feed off the crowd enough to play a little better.. so we should win at least a game..which at this point isn't all that bad. If I'm Brad I'm starting Hunter and Jerebko. Give us some length and shooting.
IT, Hunter, Jae, Jerebko and Amir. Have to spread the floor for Thomas and have to have a quick enough team to keep pace with them defensively. Hunter is long he can guard Bazemore and he's an outside threat. Bring Rozier, Smart, Turner and Kelly off the bench..

Love my celts But we were sold a bill of Goods. Overachieved all season only to get spanked again in the playoffs . Yeah a bit unlucky with injuries but we were never going anywhere . Fault Danny for this mediocre team
That we all bought into . It's scream full of bench guys ; the talent was never there

NOT this guy........Ive known this was going to be the end result since the fn preseason. And I'm not alone.......caveman, stadium5 and a few others said it too. Nobody listens to us though as we are simply "haters" or "trolls"......pffttt.

What exactly is buying in or whatever? Even the optimistic people just wanted a second round out of this team and expected as much. That was perfectly in reach (and still could be for all we know) until injuries set in with two of the best three players on this team. Not sure why you and caveman think you agree with each other on this topic. Dude actually likes Ainge, thought this team would win 47-50 and had a shot at the second round. Sounds just like all the positive folk who 'bought in' to me.
The real issue is that dudes like you think there is a large segment of fans who thought this team was going to win a championship. That's not true at all and I don't know why you continue to post in a manner where you thought something of this team that no one else did. If you also thought this team was a 47-50 win team with the most likely potential for a second round showing from the beginning of the season then stop acting like you are going against the grain of the forum or whatever you are doing. Everyone pretty much thought the same thing.

Last time KG and Pierce were wearing green was against the Knicks. We were down 0 - 3 then we pushed the Knicks to the brink in Game 6, we lost because our old legends simply ran out of gas. That's the way to go out. That's the Celtic way.
If these guys cannot even put up a fight, none of them should wear green.
But once again, time after time, they have proven us wrong. Let's see if they can continue to do it.

This was always a team that promised very little.
I hope we can trade some of those guys. Sully, IT, KO, Smart.
I do believe that Stevens has been very shortsighted in not giving any burn for Mickey.
Instead we get Zeller.
This is probably the most mediocre roster in the playoffs.

I was hoping we would not get swept this post-season and that would have made me happy but I really don't think that will happen. Atlanta will definitely sweep this team and unfortunately in a very embarrassing way. Unless of course one or two of their key players gets injured.

I said before the season this team would win 45-48 games and then get exposed once again come BIG BOY season. Playoff basketball is a different game. This ham and egger squad ain't built for it. Why most of you felt this team could win in the playoffs with a 5-9 gunner as our best player and a brown ass juice frontline is a mystery to me. And spare me the Bradley injury excuse.......if you can't overcome the loss of Avery "I've never done sh*t in the playoffs my entire career" Bradley against the Atlanta fn Hawks than you are not ready for primetime. It was obvious to me since the fn summer.

Regardless of how you feel of Bradley, he is the third best player on this team. He consistently gives the Celtics 15 a game, shooting, and all first team defense. It's a major loss. It's a major loss for any team to lose their third best player. Considering I thought this team had upper level potential of 7 game series in the second round, I would say losing Bradley is a pretty darn relevant excuse. Especially with Crowder back from a pretty serious high ankle sprain. That's significant injuries to two of our three clear cut best all around players. Even the best teams barely survive crap like that.
I am sorry. I just don't think this team's performance thus far has proven your point about this team. You aren't allowed to hand wave injuries away like they are meaningless. Like I said, even the most positive had this team fighting to the second round with a DREAM of an ECF appearance if things really swayed the Celtics' way (lack of injury to Celtics and injuries to second round opponent). The difference is, I would have enjoyed seeing this team go down in the second round while you absolutely despise this team lol. Don't know what to tell you. It doesn't make you right about this team over someone 'optimistic' like me. I am just more content with floating to the top and letting the BKN picks sort things out for us. *shrugs* It also doesn't mean I don't think a guy like IT can't be the second or third best player on a contender here either. Him failing to produce while being the only offensive player worth even a dime on this current roster health wise doesn't make him some bench fodder piece. Even some of the best players in the world have completely fell apart in the playoffs when having no one to pass to. I will say, though, IT has played a bit scared and out of control for him. Don't think it his height though. I think it is nerves. Getting just one win would really help get the monkey off the back for this dude, IMO.

Really didn't want to come on here knowing how many of you would be negative Nancy's but as a form of habit I just managed my way here. If we have a great 1st quarter in Boston will depend on the outcome of this series. We just need one quarter of confidence and that will be protecting the jungle and all the wild animals that surround it.

LOLstat of the night: 10 3PA from Turner, Johnson and Smart. Those are effectively turnovers, possessions where the team huddled together and said, **** it we don't want this possession, lets let some of the worst three point shooters in NBA history jack some **** up.
24 turnovers tonight.
Stevens cannot roll out that starting 5 with Sullinger and Johnson again or the series is over. Can't let Smart shoot 3s. He takes one and you immediately call a timeout and remove him from the game. I don't care if it goes in. Timeout. Smart, you're out. Same with Turner. Get Jerebko out there and run some plays where he gets an open look at 3. If Olynyk is healthy, he's out there too. Sullinger can play a few minutes to get his fitbit steps in for the day if Horford and Millsap are resting.

Stevens wants Smart shooting threes. As does Danny. It's suicidal in the short term but that's not what this team is about. They have decided that bombing away from three, even with this gang of crooked shooters, is their best path to offensive success (and they may be right, even if their offensive ceiling is pretty damn low against playoff defenses). And with respect to Smart, they are just living with the threes as part of what they see as his developmental arc. If anything I'm more worried about the seizures he goes through anytime he gets the ball into the paint off-the-dribble. I think the three-ball will eventually come for him.
