I'd seriously rather dine on my own pooh than re-sign Barnes, I can't bare to watch another season of him laying bricks again, it was painful enough last year.

another 4 years of listening to hardcore barnes haters whine about it on this board... brilliant.

its bad enough having to watch him play without listening to people talk about it 24/7

nobody asks you to come to this board or click on Harrison Barnes related threads. Don't pretend like you don't have other options for your Warriors related media or discussion. nothing is forced on you in this day and age

I'd love to spout positives, but when I see 2 starting forwards and one of them gets 14 rebounds and the other one gets one or none, you have to wonder. Imagine the negatives when hb is no longer on a rookie scale but on a big contract. ugh.

I really hope this isn't true.....Barnes isn't worth a dime more than $10 million per year, let alone $15 or $20 million. He's a role player at best. I would much rather give that money to Batum if Durant doesn't sign.

Role players are worth much more than 10 mill now. If we match, there's still a chance he is traded, as opposed to letting him go for nada
I think if we match $20 mill +....he's a bad contract, all but untradeable. We been there. I agree..... hard to see him EARN $15 mill. Whiteside got BIG #.. so did Batum. We'd need to REALLY gut the team to get Durant then what? Half the roster is rookies or Min wage guys. Could work..or we could gut the team and.. Durant stays with OKC.

Durant isn't leaving OKC, at least not this year, he will sign a 1-1 deal like LeBron did, opt out next year and then if Westbrook decides to stay and Durant sees a vision for them winning a championship in the future he will sign long term.

I will be furious if the Warriors match anything for Barnes over at the very most $12 million per year. I don't care about the inflated salary cap, Barnes is not worth the same type of money that both Draymond and Klay are getting. In my opinion he's not even worth the contract that Curry received. If they plan on re-signing him I would offer him $10 mill per year and then include a whole bunch of incentives into the contract that motivate him to improve, if he balks at it then tell him to kick rocks. Meyers is a pretty sharp guy, let's hope he doesn't disappoint us on this one.

So now that Atl came to agreementer with Dwight

Horford signed with Bird Rights can be traded for Barnes in a dual S&T hindered by BYC.

Atl probably does this deal with Bos.

It looks like it's either going to be well over $20M, or nothing. But maybe teams willing to throw ridiculous amounts of money at Barnes could actually work in our favor though, if we can swing a trade? The more they offer him, the better player we might be able to get in return, without offering other assets, which we basically don't have to give.

I can see the Mavs, who are running out of options give him a max deal. Hopefully Dirk then signs with us on a vet minimum deal.

He's not even a good role player.

you don't see me spouting positives either, he hasn't played well enough to deserve that. but 90% of some posters' posts are whines about him :noway:

Mavs is a possibility but Cuban refused to give Parsons max, then Parsons got max from Portland and Memphis and decided to join the latter.

Cuban's ego will probably stop him from offering max to Barnes now, essentially the same tier as Parsons.

The more likely candidates to me are

Lakers - offered Bazemore more money than the Hawks, but got turned down; Luke connection and double down by offering Barnes max and bet we don't match

Blazers - offered Paraons max but he went to Memphis. So they need a SF and want to pay max.

Philly - holes everywhere and they have cap. No one know how Simmons' game translate in the NBA. He was PF in college but doesn't play post defense. He can probably end up to be like a point forward (SF). Barnes is versatile enough to pair with Simmons and cover his short comings.

He's just a guy. So pedestrian. There are so many guys who can do what Harrison Barnes provides.

dallas offered barnes the max. Any chance lacob might entertain d-wade for 1-2 year deal? klay could move to the 3. D-wade is a savy veteran and still has big time game.

And so the game of chicken comes to a climax. I REALLY hope we were bluffing. If Dallas wants to offer Barnes almost $24m a year, they can be my guest. If we can turn it into a S&T where Dirk comes back, that could be interesting for sure.
