Not sure LeBron is the best (as far as the regular season goes). He seems to be coasting a bit but from the above options I have chosen Durant. Elite scorer and his defending has been fantastic this season.

Spurs opponents with Leonard: 108.0 ORTG
Spurs opponents without Leonard: 97.3 ORTG

Also Spurs are better with Kawhi off than on overall.

Kawhi is good, he is the perfect second option, but if you have him as a main guy you will never win a championship. He is blessed to have the GOAT coach. Spurs are good because Popovich.

Was he not the main guy when they won in 2014? Didn't he win finals MVP at age 22? And he's 10x better now than he was then, so not quite sure what you're talking about.

The only defensive flaw he has is that he's in a lineup with a lot of awful defenders most of the time.

Agreed Lebron is the best.

K.Durant really impressed me when he played for OKC in the series against the grzzlies. I thought he was going to be 2nd or the best for years to come. Then the injury came and he moved to GSW. I wont watch a Warriors game unless they end up playing the grizzs in the Playoffs. So I can really vote for him. Dont know how he is doing beside the numbers and I dont trust boxscores. All Ive seen from him is that two painfull loses for them, I enjoyed a lot.

But Ive seen a lot from R.Westbrook. So its gotta be him.

Why is Lebron"s name not in the poll options?

Voted Westbrook. Think he's got the best combination of impact, takeover dominance, and raw production. KD is a very close 3rd but I just think his circumstances make it so much easier for other parts of his game to flourish, like defense and shooting efficiency.

As much as it pains me to admit it, Durant. Leonard is a very close third though.

Also, why is Lowry in the poll?

Well yes it does help when he links up with two other stars on two different teams he's played for

Kevin durant. One great season from harden & westbrook doesn't validate them being better than KD. Last year we we're hyping curry the same way we're doing this with Harden & Westbrook.. I want to see multiple seasons/postseasons of this high level basketball play before making that statement.

What has Durant done in the past few postseasons to warrant this benefit of the doubt? You could very well make the case that Westbrook was better than Durant in their last two playoff runs together.

Also you're acting like Westbrook and Harden are rookies or sophomores of something. These dudes have been monsters for years now. This isn't some illusion. They're this good.

Lebron
Curry
KD
Harden
Kawhi

KD is having a better season but still think Steph is the 2nd best player in the NBA.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it until this year Harden was ridiculed for his abominable defense & westbrook taking ill advised shot after shot? KD has been the most consistent player for years now, behind LBJ. If I were to pick a franchise player from those 3 when drafted, I'd pick KD

lol this is actually tougher than I thought. I was going to say Durant but i'm really curious to see how productive he would be if he were put in the same situation as Westbrook and Harden. Honestly, you can't go wrong with choosing any of those 3, it's pretty damn close

Kawhi - 2 way destroyer, that's rare. His O game has just exploded and he might just be unstoppable.
Harden and Rusty - favourites of boxscore fans.
KD- best player in his side but 4 or 5 sides have legit claim of beating them this season. That wasn't the case last season without him.
