Its obviously one of the better Cousins trades in terms of value, but he's not on the block

People need to understand this extension agreement as a silent handshake. The Kings have made it known no trade talks have happened regarding him afterward

Seems a little heavy.

Not to mention Amir Johnson who's probably a better player right now by himself.

If you think someone is trolling, use the report post function.

If you think Anthony is worth Jaylen Brown and 2 1sts, make that case.
If you think Anthony is not worth Jaylen Brown and 2 1sts, but the claim that Amir Johnson is as good now is clearly ridiculous, make that case.

There are plenty of ways to respond within forum rules. However, making intentionally bad counters such as:

Is not within the rules.

Thanks.

I don't see what is out there for Melo. If the celts trade for him, they give up any hope of signing Hayward (or any/FA) who is a much better player at the same $$$ cost. If NY wants him and his salary off and only 3 teams are the market. the knicks are not going to get anywhere near his remaining value. IMO the team looking to add him would be treating the trade as a salary dump by the knicks and the returned value will reflect that. The only picks that would be on the table would be Boston's own and Zeller/Jerebko/Amir going to NY. To think that the Celts would give up any future value is misplaced.

As a fit, I don't see it. Yes he bring scoring but with him and IT what do the rest of the players do to keep thier heart in the game.

I just see no reason for the Celtics to offer Jaylen Brown for Melo. Who are the Knicks going to get offered that's near that value? Cleveland isn't trading any of their big 3, neither are the Clippers. What incentive do the Celtics have to part with the most recent #3 overall pick when the only other offer out there is Jamal Crawford, Austin Rivers and a 2022 unprotected pick?

Seems about right..

Seriously though, I should have written that Johnson is more valuable than Anthony, not better.

Neither one is very good, but Johnson has a good contract and isn't a prima donna.

Celtics don't give up too much and get a certified g and a bona fide stud in Melo & you can't teach that, and Boogie who's 7 foot tall and you can't teach that. I think this puts Celtics above the Cavs and would be fun to watch, though it's probably far fetched.
And I honestly have no idea what the Knicks are asking for with Melo.

So they'd be the realest guys in the (locker) room? How ya doin?
