Their only similarities are they’re both biracial and can jump really high. Outside of those two things they play absolutely nothing alike... at all. I have no idea why people keep comparing them.

It’s my opinion that since neither AG or Isaac can play SF that they’re willing to move him for another lotto pick some how.

We’ve been a dumpster fire for the last 5 years so who knows what they’re trying to do, but I feel like their line of thinking is use assets to re build from the ground up. The only play they’re committed to is Isaac... imo

biracial has nothing to do with it. i think of blake griffin's early career and i see a lot of it in aaron gordon.

elite athletic hybrid forwards with some ballhandling ability. similar in size/build. gordon is starting to branch out his offensive game on a similar trajectory to what griffin did. driving more. looking for the three. gordon isn't the passer blake is. but neither was blake at this point.

What?! BG isn’t a hybrid..He’s straight up a PF. They’re even built completely different. AG is a PF in a SFs body who can’t play SF. They have zero similarities in their style of play.

Think about one of the league's players who have captivated you the most, a player like Boogie. There have been many questions if he could share the same court with Anthony Davis.

Now consider we have drafted another forward in Isaac. Said to have guard skills but probably doesn't in today's NBA. He is looking like he projects to play the same position as Gordon(much like AD was thought to be a 5 like Boogie at one point).

Should we force somebody to play the 3 or get value from one of them? They probably will never be as talented as the NO pair enough to make it work. Management did not draft Gordon and most here in RealGM don't think he will be a star(a thread I can easily reference).

Yup. We should have extended him when we had the chance. Anyone in their right mind saw the exponential growth he has displayed throughout his nba career.
There's no reason we would trade him other than the fact that we know he is going to command more than we can reasonably throw at any one position in this stage of our development which is sad because at this point next year with his improvement and contract he would get a lot more than now.
Best case scenerio, we admit fault and max him out hoping he forgives us of our ineptitude.

I agree they should ideally keep him, but it’s so hard for these teams to improve when they draft poorly. Paying him big money, pretty much guarantees mediocrity. Have to draft a superstar

Yes he is a fringe all star borderline max player and YES THE MAGIC SHOULD TRADE HIM. He is a solid #3 on a contender and a very valuable player.

Think of a Shawn Marion with Phoenix. Really good, really valuable as a #3 option on a contender but absolutely useless as a #1 or #2 option on a rebuilding team.

If the magic max this guy out hoping he'll become a #1 or #2 it would be a mistake and an albatross contract. Trade him and keep hunting for a #1 option
