Weak Link on D

This has happened before in previous games against the T-wolves and Magic. It was encouraging that he went off offensively in his debut with the AC Clips but the G-League is not known for its defense. Robinson looks like he'll be a weak link on defense for at least the rest of the season, so I'm hoping that his offense gets going sooner rather than later.

Leading to Downfall

Post#29 » by Ranma » Fri Nov 9, 2018 5:03 am

We're getting killed on the boards and at the line. The Blazers have gotten to the line significantly more than the Clips and they keep getting second chances after our defensive stops. The open looks from beyond the arc are killing us as well.

This is just a game that shows we need a star. We have yet to beat a healthy good team. We have the pieces just don’t have that extra drive

Definitely could of used Bradley tonight even if off the bench instead of Robinson or Milo. Little bit more defensive pressure on Sauce

That was tough needed length and were limited not being able to use Boban or Gortat.

Also Bradley could of helped slow the bench run by Portland. Good game but it’s becoming clear the team has a limit on it without a star type player.

I love Boban but if SGA is starting I wouldn’t mind going back to Gortat. I preferred Boban being efficient beating up on second string bigs and now seems like his role is a bit to much. Starting has Boban going against likely better and more talented bigs with teams trying to foul him out early. Let’s keep it simple with the original game plan in regards to Boban.

Minimizing Marjanovic's Shortcomings

Post#40 » by Ranma » Fri Nov 9, 2018 5:53 am

Yeah, Boban definitely benefits from playing limited minutes. He may be good to start the occasional game here and there, but he doesn't have the stamina or wherewithal to maintain a high-level of performance over extended minutes for a prolonged period of time.
