Top-25 5-man Lineups by Net Rating, per Team

I'm not surprised that the Hornets had a top 25 net rating lineup. The team has been on the verge of being good for 3 years, but can never find a way to consistently put it all together. It's a shame because this past season might be last time this group of guys play together.

A big reason for that is the inability of Cody Zeller to stay on the court for a full season. He's one of the most underrated players in the league, even by our own fans and organization. The Hornets are a playoff team when he and Kemba are both healthy.

He has an Iggy/Draymond like effect on the team. He is an elite screen setter and a fantastic team defender. His problem is that he can't shoot 3's so he's forced to play center when his body isn't up for the task. When he was drafted he was athletic enough to play the 4 and defend big wings, but I don't think he's agile enough to do that anymore. It's a shame, if he had developed the ability shoot the 3 and had the opportunity to play with another mobile big he may have avoided the injuries and received credit for how good of a player he is.

yeah the defense is there, and while he's limited offensively at least he doesn't try to do too much.

maybe not a stud but I could be convinced that he's a legit good starter.
