And Minter survives bases loaded with 1 out in the 13th - getting a K and a ground out. Whew.

It's up to Markakis, Riley, and Acuna... perhaps Freddie for the win in the bottom of the 13th.

Freeman with the walkoff RBI single in the 13th. Braves win game one of a series, we hadn't done that in our last 7 or 8 playoff series played.

Oh what a relief - literally. In a best of 3, obviously the 1st game is so important. Also obviously - Braves batters need to hit smarter.

So far, it's more of the same in game 2 after 3 innings - no score. Acuna's gone 2 for 2 with a stolen base, but the rest of the lineup is 0 for 9. Ian pitching well but has thrown 55 pitches - hopefully he can go 6. We still have Tomlin fresh, so I'm guessing he'll be the first reliever and can give us 3 innings. Luis Castillo is throwing as hard as any starter in baseball.

Couldn't have asked for a better job by Anderson: 6 innings, 2 hits, 2 walks, and 9 k's. 99 pitches, so he could pitch the 7th, but I wouldn't push it. Acuna's been the Braves only offense: 3 for 3, while the rest of the team has 2 hits. 1-0 Braves.

Braves bats woke up - with 2 2-run homers! Ironic that Acuna's struck out his last 2 at bats. Reds reacted by throwing at Riley - appears to have been intentional - though I didn't see it, so I can't be sure. With a 5-0 lead and chance to sweep, now is not the time to retaliate.

I imagine, if they threw at him, it was because Ozuna took a mock selfie on his way to 1st after his hr.

An act which, especially after Mr. Bauer's little strut, I'm perfectly ok with.
