Calling someone a hater is the easiest and cheapest way to attack a person whose opinion you disagree with. Just not mature behavoir.
If you are calling someone a hater, you might be quite limited intellectually and emotionally
I reserve the right to love or hate whatever TF I choose

If by painted a narrative, you mean trolled an entire fanbase forum, yeah you did and yeah you deserve almost all of those jokes. But then again, posting page long response to one sentences is really bad trolling, so I’m not sure how good you are at any of it.

I personally only call someone a hater if :
1- He calls other people "stans"
2- I've seen him repeatedly post irrational negative thing about a player.
I don't like the term "hater", but it's about the same as "stan".
I have know idea about your post history, but this is certainly evidence #1 of an irrational negative thing against a player.
Cheers for the comment. You may not have seen, but I also made it clear that I didn’t think he would try to lose. I fully appreciate he will always try to win. I was simply making the point that he could quietly be hoping for a competitive series.
I don’t think that’s too irrational a comment. But I get people might disagree.
Okay, it's not necessarily a bad take them. All good.

This board is really starting to take itself too seriously tbh. Not sure if it's the stress of real life leaking in or what but things have been turned up to level 10 for quite a while. Or maybe I'm just aging out of the contemporary message board environment.

To say I am sensitive when I am laughing at the anger people give towards me because of the internet is highlighting OP.

Re: Cool it with the 'hater' stuff
I think there are more radical fans of Lebron than there are radical haters, most "haters" are either just trolling for fun or are making simple criticisms that some people cannot handle.
I don't hate him because I don't know him personally and I definitely don't hate his game, he's all-time tremendous and he plays the game the right way most of the time. I don't shy from criticizing him when I think it's warranted.
There's a cult of personality around him among some fans on this forum, it's apparent in game threads. Posts like "Le-GOAT" or "Le-Unstoppable" every time Lebron does something positive and then mocking the other team "X player is so soft lol" "they thought they could beat us?!" The Nuggets series was especially bad for this.
Taking personal glory from an athlete's accomplishments and posting like a buffoon online fuels a lot of the trolling.

A hater is just someone who will irrationally spout untruths to denigrate a player, just like a fanboy will irrationally prop them up. Here's but one of many examples just from last night:
As if anyone will give a **** about this game after this week, much less years later when evaluating LeBron's legacy. That's just nonsense and it comes from a place of hatred. Obviously LeBron has so affected this person that they can't think straight
AirP. wrote:Something NOBODY is talking about. Jimmy Butler just beat the Lakers in game 3 in the Finals with a team(last night's rotation) that was probably way less talented than the Laker's last year that LeBron couldn't even get them into the playoffs. LeBron being even considered in the same class as MJ is laughable, especially with such a classless move like LeBron leaving the court early. MJ would have come back to the court, watched the other team celebrate, and used that to drive him the next game(s).
LA may still win this Finals, but last night is a huge shot at his legacy, especially after he talked )$#( in the first half and had what a lot of people say is a lesser talented team beat them, with 2 of their top 3 players OUT.

I am not that excited about the Raptors future an think Masai is a tad overrated because he lucked into Kawhi which will never happen again, and before that he was floundering with a team that was a joke with Demar and Kyle, and now post Kawhi he overpaid Pascal before he had to who looks to be a pseudo star.
I then said Fred is just a top 20ish PG in the league (I think he is in the 20-25 range), whether it be current level of play or moving forward with, so to pay him 20+ million would make what Fred does as a positive, a net negative due to the contract, so I have no issues moving on when PG is the deepest position and we don't even have a top 15 one.

You'd be wrong. I don't hate LeBron. I actually think LeBron should be putting this team away. This game just made it much easier to see, LeBron's team being at full strength, being a heavy favorite, and not giving good effort against a lesser team with 2 of their top 3 players out. It's really odd that people think this little of LeBron that maybe he did try and didn't come through, he's way more talented than that even at this point in his career. It's his mentality.
By the way, Raja Bell talks about LeBron in game 3 being in "chill mode" which is a nice way of putting it.

There is way too much of it.
Consider this: Stephan Curry and Lebron James probably get some of the most hate on this board. YET...both are upstanding great examples for our kids. Both MAKE The game interesting and elite (just my opinion). Without these two the game would be so much more boring.
I for my part...will try to hate...less
Now..off to politics!

Well I don't know if you hate LeBron or not, but holding him to an irrationally high standard (like demoting his "legacy" after subpar game-- if 25/10/8 with 8 TO is subpar) is consistent with hater logic. Believe it or not, every single player who has ever playe has had bad games, even against bad competition, even in big moments-- especially in big moments. It happens. But people hold LeBron to this ridiculous standard as if he needs to prove anything more. The guy has objectively not had a single bad playoff series in since the 2011 Finals. The number of phenomenal games he's had in this span far outweighs the few duds. You'd think after the GSW 3-1 comeback when he put up the best three game span in Finals history under maximum pressure, people would give him some credit, but there are still holdouts. You don't have to love the guy, but geez, give him a break. Also, realistically no one outside of the haters and superfans really cares. I mean, he had a couple of mediocre games in the playoffs early on (people wondered if "playoff LeBron" would show up) and no one remembers those because the Lakers won those series in dominant fashion, just like they will dispose of the Heat.

Yes everyone has bad games but last night LeBron basically quit, he wasn't giving a good effort, Raja Bell said he went into "Chill Mode", this wasn't a preseason game, not a regular-season game, it was THE FINALS and this isn't the only time he's done this, it's just the most recent and to me, one of the most obvious. It's not like people haven't seen and said this before, ask Stephen Jackson from a few years ago...
“He quit,” Jackson said. “He knew he was playing against a better team. After Game 1, he knew he was beat. Point blank, bruh. It had nothing to do with his hand. they got swept, 4-0. Take it like a man. Go home, bruh.”

I love basketball, not a hater or a superfan of LeBron's so yes, there are others that care. I noticed and it bothered me because he's one of the greatest but seems to hit cruise control way too often in important games. Unless he was injured, there was really no reason why he was being so complacent when the Lakers needed him to step up.
I made my point about game 3, it really stood out to me and put an exclamation point to his questionable play in big games(not all big games of course, but some), it's one to try, it's another to just give up and go through the motions.
And of course my disclaimer, LeBron is one of the top players this league has ever seen, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have faults.

Its actually very simple. Whenever the poster as a person is attacked instead of the post he made, its a sign of weakness, often expressed in rude insults. „Hater“ isnt close to being the worst. What these people actually say is „i hate what you just wrote but i cant find goood points to discredit it“.

Did you even watch the game? LeBron was not the problem last night. AD's inability to grab a rebound or get to the line lost that game. (Somehow, the guy was -26 in 32 minutes...

And Butler, of course. Butler was phenomenal. But then he always comes up big, whether its points, or assists, or rebounds, or tight defense--or like last night all four--the man gets up for the big games. And yes, before the injuries, I was one of those crazies who thought the Heat would take the Lakers to game 7--partly because I don't think Butler allows a healthy Heat team to lose two in a row.
Injuries suck. LeBron played great though. Butler just played better last night--can we celebrate that without putting down LeBron?
RIP magnumt--you're literally why I'm still here on these boards.
RIP The Hater--keep up the good fight in the great beyond.
