Though I'm disappointed at not getting control of the Senate, at least we'll get a coherent executive branch managing the pandemic which at this point is critical. We'll still have to deal with this tsunami of infections growing, so it is too late to stem that tide, but at least we'll have scientific reason to guide us the rest of the way. I would not have trusted any vaccine rushed out by the Trump administration anyway. At least I expect Biden to not greenlight a vaccination program that is done to cash in and it will have a chance of being done right

I’m going to hold off on any pronouncements until the votes come in but this election shows that 67 million Americans are absolutely fine with letting the country burn as long as it pisses off the majority of the country. I don’t know how you come back from this.

And this should officially end the Democratic strategy of trying to turn Republican voters. There were **** Senators that ran ahead of Trump despite clinging to his nuts, enabling his criminal behavior and voting to AQUIT him of an obvious **** crime! The only lesson the Republican Party will learn from this is that next time they need to select a racist, facist, authoritarian prick who isn’t on twitter as much. Democrats need to focus on a turnout game and activating new voters. **** this turning Republicans bull.

Chuck **** Schumer needs to step down as minority leader. I’m not a fan of needlessly **** on Democrats, but he dropped the **** ball big time. He had so many shots at thing and he completely **** the bed. Biden might win but this was not a good result for Democrats. It took the combined force of historic voter turnout, the Republicans publicly speaking out against their own party, tons of money from Bloomberg to narrowly beat Trump. Democrats in the house absolutely under performed. DNC, DCCC, DNSC all need to be fired and cleaned out because they have no **** clue what they’re doing. I remember so many grassroots organizations saying that the DNC needs to invest in communities and put boots on the ground instead instead of just dropping in 2 months before elections. They need to heavily invest in African American and Latino outreach and figure out a strategy to actually reach rural voters or else forever lose the Senate.

This was 99% already baked in. Everything you and Jremi are saying is true, but that needs to start now for 2022, then 2024. The DNC and affiliations just don't know to compete. But neither did the Never Trumpers like the Lincoln Project. They all failed. Maybe, just maybe, if a real ground operation was launched as soon as Biden was clearly going to cinch the nomination, then possibly you could have grabbed enough votes to get a better result, but that ship sailed over half a year ago IMO.

I still think the major takeaway is how Americans are willing to roll with fascism. So there better be operatives who understand how to fight Nazism, because it is here and it is entrenched and it is not going away.

Just got off work and checking things out. What’s the deal with Nevada? That’s essential if Biden loses Pennsylvania. Seems like it’s be assumed to be a given by a lot of people I’ve seen on Twitter (that Biden takes NV). I just saw the gap is like 8k or something pretty dang tight. Is there a significant amount of mail in ballots thought to be pro-Biden or are most the votes to be counted remaining in a pro-Biden area? Just curious
