If the Clippers for some reason aren't winning like expected two months into the season they would accept that package for PG.

Middleton is an all star. And Middleton last year and last few seasons is everything Paul George is. Middleton has more trade value than George BTW.

Clippers would not trade George for this package. Not because of value. But because the second Kawhi saw Wiggins come into town, he too would be gone. Might as well trade whole team and start rebuild owning no picks.

So Middleton would be worth more than Gallinari, Gilgeous-Alexander, 5 x first round picks and 2 x 1st round pick swaps? How many more picks, 7? 11? 5 x pick swaps? 1 billion in cash?

The value on paper isn’t bad but it’s not the Warriors strategy. Same as dumping lotto or potential lotto picks for bench depth as everyone was trying to do for GS at draft time is not the strategy.

The world, nor the NBA, nor the Warriors, nor Steph Curry end in two years. The Warriors plan is to proceed under that belief and that they want to be a good team beyond that time

It is not unreasonable at all to speculate that curry's performance is going to go down so that he is not the difference maker he is now after two more years. The guy is 33 years old at the break. The two years prior to last year he missed 25% of the regular season games. I certainly would not do the trade, GS took a long range view by not dealing #2 this year and they should stay the course.

I think James durability has many of us hopeful that our team's stars will be likewise, but that man has been truly blessed.

Are we using time machines on RGM TNT board now?
