First, I agreed that we didn’t know who it was. I did doubt that it could be a team official, but only because I assumed that team associates deal with more than one player, not just KD.

In hindsight, I guess if the associate specializes in KD’s Achilles rehab, then it would make sense why KD was the only player affected.

But KD isn’t completely exonerated. If neither he nor the team official were wearing masks to mitigate the spread, they’re both culpable.

The main point was trying to make was that despite not knowing the specifics, it was probably safe to assume that KD was around someone who wasn’t being responsible and KD trusted/assumed that person was fine. All of that still holds true.

If KD is sitting out due to possible infection, why is this game even being played?

Usually by Day 2 or 3, the virus will have replicated enough to make the person contagious. By Day 5 post-exposure, if KD has it, the tests will almost definitely pick it up.

Like many other airborne contagious diseases, you can spread it before you have symptoms, which is why it’s important to isolate him as soon as possible. But there’s a very low chance that KD would’ve become contagious within 12 hours of exposure.

I have watched Embiid play, and I know what he's capable of. It doesn't mean that you make it this easy for him to dominate. We've given him zero resistance so far, he's getting whatever he wants.
