Runoff vote: Dennis Rodman

Greer had top longevity for his era and a lot of accolades but I am not sure how much of his legend really bears out. As offense-first players, Cliff Hagan and Chet Walker basically had career averages on par with Greer's single season peak in PER and WS/48. Not saying those are perfect metrics but I would expect a lot better from someone who is supposedly on par with Jerry West and Oscar Robertson. I am not too high on Rodman either but from his defense to later offensive rebounding, I think he was more dominant in what he was good at than Greer.

1. As you already alluded to, per and ws/48 aren't great metrics to use and even more so for that era and then also for factoring in defense.

We're only about 21 hours since I pitched it into runoff, though 24+ hours from when I was supposed to have shifted it.

Only one vote has come in though, so there's little to suggest that waiting another three hours [which I can't do tonight] will change anything.
LA Bird's runoff vote makes it 6-5 in favour of Rodman.

So I'll get the next one up.
