Winston is not on the updated roster but Todd & Sannon are still listed at least. I’m guessing (hoping) that means Todd could still play in a later game if he tests negative for COVID.

Does Jordan Goodwin play PG tonight ? Walton Jr?

Can Jay Huff pick and pop his way to double digits?

Does Huff or Kyree Walker show enough to get a two way contract?

Go Wizards!

I wouldn’t be shocked if Winston gets cut because of this.

Diallo should be hightly motivated - trying to impress someone (probably other than the Wiz) enough to get a contract. He and Huff should be a potent combo up front.

Well that's truly embarrassing. Any volunteers here that can fill in?

Agreed. I think he is the Bryant replacement in 22/23. He needs a year to build up his functional strength, but he can shoot the 3, convert at the rim, and block shots.

So Wiz and so Washington/Baltimore area.(Lamar, Nats-Covid, Wiz-Covid regular season, Ravens-Covid)

Also, this has to be more than just bad luck. I don't hear about any other organizations having these issues. Says something about this organization.

Seems kind of crazy to have summer league in Vegas right now as it’s a covid hot bed currently

Jay Huff seems like a great kid & more than talented enough to have a chance in the league. Really nice pick up!

I tell you what... we could be talking about Mookie Blaylock's grandchild, & the first comment would be -- "gonna replace Thomas Bryant."

Lol. I should clarified and said Bryant’s role. I think Gafford is probably the better center and I don’t think they pay up to keep TB.

It must suck to play on the Wizards Summer League (unless you are Kispert or Todd) since the Wizards have no roster spots.

From my first session watching the SL, I have concluded that Jalen Green has a shot to make it in the league. :)

Terrific first game from Jalen Johnson -- I couldn't imagine passing on him if he fell to us at 15. Zards said the same thing. He showed why.

Other guys who have looked good initially.

Jericho Sims... oh my! (#58 pick)
Kai Jones... oh my!
Justin Champaignie (undrafted)
Luka Garza (#52 pick)
R.J. Nembhard (undrafted)

Let's get our guys on the court!

Of course, we all know better than to make judgments from SL - though they are fun to make, and I will do so in this very post. Some of these players scored more than they averaged in college. Red flag on Jalen Johnson was the turnovers. Kai Jones is gonna be fun to watch! - not sure how he finished that dunk without pushing a button to elongate his arm at the end. I have to check out Nembhard - pretty sure I never even heard of him, and he might... be a fictional character from a John Gresham novel.

I liked him, too.

Even though I was happy with Kispert being selected I thought Jalen Johnson might be an even better pick.

Garza looked good on offense. I thought his defense in that first summer league game was really really bad.

Watching the highlights, I was actually a lot more impressed by Cooper than Johnson. Johnson mostly scored in transition, or when he got a chance to post up a 6-2 guard after a defensive switch. Cooper looked terrific, getting to the rim at will and dropping some nice dimes.

It's also worth mentioning that Cooper was there for us a #31. Hell, he lasted all the way until #48. We could have bought a pick to draft him.
