Don’t know if anybody else was a fan but comedian Trevor Moore most known as the co star of the sketch comedy group WKUK died late Friday night not long after wrapping up a Twitch stream at only age 41 from an unspecified accident in his yard which is the extent of information I’ve see. Everything else I see is just mostly baseless speculation. He also did a show on Disney and a recent on Comedy Central in addition his comedy albums/specials which great hilarious to the point it never gets old Trevor had so much talent, I enjoyed everything he ever did besides Miss March but I think I’ll rewatch it now too haha.
Big fan of WKUK since they were on TV and have been following their new content pretty much as it comes out since they’ve came back together during this quarantine. They’re raising money for a movie, building their own little community, and just bringing a little humor and joy into our bleak depressing existence. Some people are pretty cynical and roll their eyes at people grieving celebrity deaths but there are genuine fans. Podcasts and twitch streaming & the like provide a weird strangely intimate parasocial relationship twith these unrequited friendships with celebrities, you feel like part of the group and that you really know them even tho you remain anonymous buIt’s been a tough year with lot of loss for me personally and I took a lot of solace in hearing familiar voices that have brought me so much laughter in the past so such a sudden gut punch like this can really put you on the ground.
Trevor has always been this larger than life persona and so uniquely him, he was weird but the coolest funniest guy there was. Honest and unfiltered but at the same time never taking himself too seriously, never has a comedian so nailed my sense of humor like he did. I feel so bad for his wife and young child he left behind, he had so much work to do and look forward and in an instant its over. To paraphrase someone else cut from similar cloth; there he goes one of god’s own prototypes, *some high kind of powered mutant never once considered for mass production, too weird to live but too rare to die*. Life truly isn’t fair.
Godspeed Trevor, wherever in the universe you’re at. You’ll be missed always and I think more people in the future will appreciate his comedic genius. Either that or I’ll still be watching those grainy 240p youtube clips laughing my ass off with a tear in my eye. The line between comedy and tragedy gets blurred a lot, I love Chris Farely but the laughter is always bittersweet now Hopefully I can find the funny again with Trevor bittersweet as it has to be but trying to watch anything is just too upsetting right now. I hope they finish their movie, its almost completed.
Sorry for the eulogy and blogpost if nobody cares, dunno where else it goes

Just finished 2 & 3. Great. And good cast. I've always liked Steve Zahn. Murray Bartlett is great too.

Pour one out for Markie Post. "Night Court" was one of my faves growing up and for no small reason that I never heard my pop laugh harder. Great show about a bunch of oddballs relegated to the graveyard shift who built their relationship from that hellacious timing.
I never could fully workshop "Call me Christine Sully cuz this is a marquee post" into the vernacular. It's the ones that get away that haunt you.

Watched End of Evangelion again leading up to the Amazon Prime release of all 4 rebuild movies. God, that movie hits hard. I've gone deep on this series in previous threads, but for all its warts, Eva is one of my favorite pieces of media, and I'm super stoked to marathon the movies this weekend.

Can't believe she was that old. She looked daaaaaamn good in the late 80s. Would've guessed 10 years younger.
She was damn funny on Night Court and I really liked her alongside Keith David in There's Something about Mary.

Honestly, I haven’t heard of Travis before this post…but before you even mentioned Farley I understood where you were coming from. Chris Farley is and was a huge part of my childhood and when you really are drawn to someone, it doesn’t make sense but you feel like you know them…and if their comedy and their heart speaks to you, that connection is even more palpable and meaningful.
I just re-read “The Chris Farley Show” by Tanner Colby and Tom Farley Jr and I honestly feel like I learn a lot more about myself and a lot more about humanity the more I dive into the real people behind the personas. It may be tough now, but in time it gets easier to remember how much joy these people brought, and not the tragic humanity that holds them back or brings them down.
I’ll be praying for Trevor’s family and friends.

Show has quickly set a record for number of times I think about this.

The final score of Game 6 of the 2004 ECF was 69 to 65.
Let us pray that we never go back to that.
