As to the deal, you can't trade Towns and get back Pat Williams as the best piece. Especially when the other two players right now hold minimal value at best and the protections on those picks means they can't even get a good asset there. Feels drastically short.

Value is fine for GSW, but I don't love the fit of DD either. If you are adding Vuc you don't need DD's offense. I think GSW might prefer just keeping Wiggins.

Wild for Chicago to say hey let's recreate the Wolves from 4 years ago but I guess you hope they've all grown enough since then.

Can’t believe I didn’t think of that:

Towns = Towns
PF Committee = PF Committee
Wiggins = Wiggins
LaVine = LaVine
Ball = Rubio

Sad to think back, that was the Wolves lineup PLUS the #5 overall 1st (Dunn :() which that young lineup produced the #7 overall 1st the following year.

Do you have responses on auto reply? Always sucks for Warriors and never any feedback. Really kind of pointless isn’t it? Maybe find something else to pass the time. Just saying.

Ok, I'll step in. GSW doesn't want DDR they are covered at his position, AND they prefer Wiseman to Vucevic? DDR & Vucevic play slower, they are older, their defense is average at best, they ARE talented but not what GSW is looking for or needs ........& MORE expensive with no obvious championship feel to gain. I think Vucevic could work as a GSW but they are committed to Wiseman. The GSW philosophy is to keep the dice rolling for years and years....NOT mortgage the future for 1 season of pleasure & 10 years of misery.

DDR is a spectacularly bad fit for GS. Bad defender, bad outside shooter, needs the ball in his hands to be effective. Less than zero interest in giving up any kind of value for him.

I would think DDR would fit alongside Green and Vuc as they both open up the mid range for DDR to operate. As far as def he is replacing Wiggins, who while made efforts last year is still not one would call a good def player.

The trade is truly awful for the Wolves. Neither White or Wiseman have all that much value and the picks are non lottery. Williams is an OK prospect, but there is no chance he could be the centerpiece of deal for Towns.

Derozan has been playing good defense in Chicago. I agree is a bad fit for GS though.
