Not against it (its not my money), but I just don't find the WNBA that entertaining. Don't think its a gender thing; I am not interested in the Argos or the Toronto men's Lacrosse and Rugby teams either.

I would support it but I don’t think I could get into it enough to want to watch.

All the other womens sports I can sort of watch but WNBA is harder for some reason.

I think it’s because it’s blatantly an inferior product. Basketball is a sport where you want to watch high level athleticism not some women doing layups.

Maybe if there’s a Toronto team I’ll get into it but I doubt it. Raptors alone is a time commitment

i think if the production value was good i would watch home games. maybe buy a shirt or something. it's really 100% dependent on the branding. ideally some kind of raptors tie in. if it was like blue and white lady huskies then it's a no go for me.

Don't personally watch WNBA and a Toronto team probably won't change that. But if there's enough financial support to make it financially viable on its own (i.e. not on the back of Raptors), then sure.

My understanding is that they are not (last I heard) and they've had players complaining about pay for quite a while now even though they should know their league and teams don't even make enough to support it. So if that's really the case, I don't know if I want that in this city.

Wouldn’t watch it.

Love women’s soccer and women’s hockey, unfortunately basketball just doesn’t seem to translate well to women playing.

Great for Toronto as the city is super boring and needs more attractions....

I have two girls - 2 and 4 - and think it would be fun to bring them. I wouldn't put the team at Scotia at first because who knows how it would go, but if it it stated at Paramount where the 905 play I think it could work.

Would it be at the ACC or is there any stadiums in the east end that can support them?

I think where the 905 play would be ideal to keep the atmosphere good.

I may be more likely (and interested) in going to a Toronto WNBA game than an NBA game, value:price of tickets would be reasonable, as opposed to raptor tickets (not sure what its like w covid tho).

Id definitely support a team here. The city could handle it, and the branding blueprint is already there around wethenorth/905.

I predict at least 50 if not 75% of all the posters saying 'would not watch' would change their tunes in time. the women's game is getting bigger, better and faster all the time. super competitive highly skilled kickass teams. wnba would be a huge success in toronto. just do it in time for us to draft page bueckers please.

Yes please, just keep it in the city not wherever 905 plays.

It would be better to watch in person than the league looks on TV. And presumably good tickets would be cheaper and much more available. And something to do in summer.

I'd think the Ricoh is a better choice. Its still in Toronto and has a slightly larger capacity.

I wonder if they'll have chevron jerseys too.

It’s 2021 man, of course they would be able to suit up if they switched genders. What an offensive question. I might protest this post.

What Bandwagoner answer.

You mustve been the ones cheering for Lin when he was a knick and hit the game winner.
