Re: PG: Windy City Bulls lose
Vuc had a bad game and I'm sure people will pile up on him. But he's on this team and I'm going to hope that he figures it out and starts playing better.
I think one issue is that he's been rushing his shots. If he slows down a bit then I'd like to think that he'll do better (I'm only talking offensively).
On to the next game.

Blame Billy D for taking him out when he was making that run by himself in the second quarter.
Yeah this was an absolutely pathetic performance from Vuc, but Billy D was doing some dumb crap this game too, he needs to grow some balls and sit Vuc the next time he's playing like a bitch.

Re: PG: Windy City Bulls lose
Saw a lot of Vuc posts in GT. I get it, he's been terrible lately. He's not the reason why Bulls lost THIS game though.
It was bad from the top all the way down to G League that was filling in on this depleted roster.
Still have to give credit to Miami who was also out kwy players though. They just couldn't miss. Think that sucked the energy right out of Chicago.
Bulls need to get healthy. Get their mind right. Get the flow back as a full roster. We'll be alright Bulls fans.
I don't want to say game against Detroit is "must win" but in a way it kind of is, isn't? Mentally? Even an undermanned Bulls team should beat them.

Re: PG: Windy City Bulls lose
I think COVID is the bigger problem, but Vooch’s sharp decline is certainly up there.
But shame on the league for not postponing this game. That team out there tonight wouldn’t be able to beat Detroit. Until we get some people back, it’ll be Ls across the chest.

that narrative is dead.fleet wrote:Zach, he is not an impactful guy. Empty stats charge holds on…
Zach has consistently been a positive net plus player on consistently bad teams.
Not to stray from convo too much , but booker was a net negative last year on a championship contender.
Zach was leading us back !

Some aspect to this team holds true. Zach, despite his stats, doesn't know how to win basketball games.
If you replace Zach with a Lebron / Michael Jordan / Kobe type of player, that player with 4 other G-league scrubs wouldn't lose tonight game, much less let a team full of journeymen blow them out on their home court.

Nor is Vuc really. Zach is not the problem, but not really the solution either. DDR is an MVP candidate for a reason.

Re: PG: Windy City Bulls lose
Normally when you have key players out, the guys who don't get a lot of minutes, start showing off and step up. Well, Heat had players step up that are role players (Deadman, Robinson, etc) while our so-called all-star Vuc had tail stuck between legs and basically NO ONE else stepped up other than Lavine.
This shows a lot of things to me. Vuc is really mentally weak. I will give pass to Lonzo (He tried just didn't work a lot of things but atleast he tried attacking) and Caruso (1st game back, trying to get his rhythm and not to get hurt).
Heat have role players who knows what their roles are. They move the ball and body so well. I really love that. When someone has the ball either at top of the key or in the post, they have cutters going left and right and they find open guy and they know what to do wtih the ball.
Also, shout out to Heat's coach, he has nice out of the timeout plays every single time and he called timely timeouts and had a nice play to take the momentum back. That's why they had a lot of success in the playoffs.
One thing for sure, this season would have been a disaster if we hadn't signed Derozan - seeing how Vuc has been sucking donkey balls.

Stop with the shot rushing excuse. You can't rush shots when you're reliably wide open 70% of the time. There comes a point that you just suck at shooting the basketball.

Your sarcasm is not as easy to detect as you might think. I have seen people actually use these last two losses as proof the Bulls aren’t for real. Of course those people are still extremely ignorant and/or don’t know we are missing half of our team. Screw Silver and the entire NBA for this mess.

Re: PG: Windy City Bulls lose
Crazy how Vuc is still getting defended, the guy played like ass. Missing WIDE open shots, terrible body language, not moving to get rebounds, and so much more. Yeah half the team was out but that's where he's supposed to step up. 10 points, the man had 10 points against Dedmon..

He often rushes his hook shots. Shots that should go in.
I said that he had a bad game and none of this is an excuse. I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with him and what he can do to try and get back on track.

Sorry but there’s no need to postpone. The bulls put out an admirable roster , they didn’t play admirably well besides Zach and Lonzo .
That’s 2 guys.
And as a vuc fan :
#1 problem : Vuc
#2.Donovan carousel (1st half goat)
#3. Covid .
Dwayne dedmon outperformed him.

the bulls gave up 118 points to a team whose 2 best players have been a 35 year old lowry and 36 year old PJ tucker. the heat had a similar menu of excuses not to show up tonight
there's no vaccine to prevent vuc from catching dedmon

Substitute DeRozan in this mess and you would get the same result. He isn’t carrying this team.
I thought you were playing, but you actually believe what you what wrote? What a joke.

Re: PG: Windy City Bulls lose
Didn't watch the game but as an avid boxscore-watcher, Vuc is trash and should be packaged with Coby/Pwill and a pick for Turner asap
How does a big man manage to go 3/15? It's not like his bigman matchup was an elite defender, it was Dedmon and some washed up midget defender in Tucker. He might be the epitome of an empty stats "star" when he was in ORL. He's horrendous in Chicago so far.
