In a year with a clear top 4, picking 5th isn't ideal. There are still a couple of great options to lead a team left but my best play here is going with the highest upside.

So I just noticed this. Not a complaint, but do want to make sure it's right.

To my mind a pure snake (ABAB) would have me picking 1/32/33/64, and ABBA - which is what I thought we were doing -would be 1/32/48/49.

What I'm seeing here seems to imply ABBB. Is that correct?

I had the top 4 on pretty much the same tier. Obviously didn't get a crack at Jokic and for some reason couldn't quite picture the team I wanted around Giannis so I would up coin flipping Steph/KD. So I'll be most interested in seeing how that Giannis team turns out I think.

I truly believe he's a GOAT candidate in the making.

Luka and the Mavs have started a bit slow this season (although Luka is still averaging ridiculous numbers). Personally speaking, I blame Kidd. I think he was a terrible hire by the Mavs. Just because he had elite BBIQ as a player, it doesn't mean he's a good head coach. I mean, look no further than the Bucks. When they fired Kidd, they immediately transformed into legit contenders.

Jimmy Butler has been phenomenal except for the missed games (seems a solid playoff performer too); don't think you could go wrong there either for the 5th pick.

It really shouldn't be imho, though I'd echo the thought that it's less important early on. It's maddening though when you've got a diamond in the rough later on.

A spreadsheet would make it easier to track the picks. If you make it open to all of us you wouldn't have to update all the picks yourself.

Okay, to be clear, when I've seen ABBABABA previously, it's meant something else.

I like the Luka pick at #6, rough start to the season, but he's played quite well in the playoffs the last few seasons.
