FOR

Sabonis + Turner + Small Filler

Suns try Sabonis and Turner in their system, paired in a deep playoff run, lead by Paul. Sarver punts on Ayton decision, and can decide on Turner next year. Depending on how Sabonis and Turner pairing works for Suns, they can always recoup value (if needed) by trading one in the future.
Turner
Sabonis
Bridges
Booker
Paul

Pacers retool by giving Ayton his own new team to showcase and shine. Future Suns 1sts could be sexy if Paul ages out or something breaks bad in Phoenix.

Note: I think value is Ayton > Sabonis > Turner. Gap is small between Ayton and Sabonis and not massive between the three all together. I also don’t think Ayton for Sabonis works for Suns. Sabonis doesn’t provide the D PHX needs at the 5 — maybe they keep him at PF with C by Committee. Turner for Ayton could have legs but just don’t see a good fit with Ayton and Sabonis pairing, or how Pacers close value gap. Enter all-in Suns to try Pacers pairing in PHX.

interesting but I would have to think about this, Ayton will get very expensive very soon. Why didn't you try KAT for both?

KAT as of right now wants to be in MN. He has said so and has history there. He also has his emotional support buddy. In theory, 2.5 years from now (really 1.5 when extension eligible), he is more retainable. Value wise I wouldn’t mind it. Would Pacers entertain a Russell and Towns package deal?

Probably not, 61 mil in 2 players would be too steep for the Pacers. It would take Sabonis, Turner, LeVert and Holiday just to match salary.

No tax for Indy, Kings kept their firsts. This is a move both teams should do barring something better.

Buddy is just awful expensive to build around as the backup at SG with Duarte on he roster. I can’t possibly envision Indy dealing like that.

Indy would have to add more salary to match and I'm not sure Portland would want to move on from Lillard.

It's really up to Dame. If he asks, then they'd do it. Indy can send out w/e filler is needed to complete the trade. Maybe Jeremy Lamb?

The value of the deal works imo as someone like Sabonis would be loved in PDX for obvious reasons. Philly finally gets Dame and Simmons should fit in great on your team. Turner compliments him perfectly since he's a big that likes to shoot 3s.

For me, the GS offer is Wiseman/Looney/Moody (or 2022 1st in place of Moody if you have no interest). Really needs a 3rd team as Wiseman isn't a good fit for Indy. OKC is the easiest 3rd team.

Wiseman/Looney/Moody for Turner
2022 LAC 1st for Wiseman
Turner for Looney/Moody/2022 LAC 1st

Looney is needed for salary matching going out from GS. GS keeps Kunminga. Indy gets a mid 1st from last year's draft, a mid 1st from this year's draft and salary flexibility.

Keeping it simple:

Indy trades: Sabonis
G.S. trades: Wiseman, Kuminga, Moody, and 2022 1st rd pick(optional)

Salaries match. Wiseman would need to be rerouted to a 3rd team like OKC or Indy could move Turner too and go into a full rebuild(not likely).

Not sure how I feel about this as Wolves fan…

To Pacers: Edwards + Prince + 2022 Wolves 1st (protected)

To Celtics: Sabonis + Beasley

To Wolves: Brown + Turner + Nesmith

Pacers put rebuild on hyperdrive with new team center piece Edwards. Trade some other vets and join the tank race.

Celtics swap Brown for Sabonis and backfill with Beasley (a little).

Wolves trade Edwards+ for a young win-now core.
Turner
Towns (love his fit with Turner)
JV | McDaniels
Brown (or start at SF)
Russell (or start at SG with Beverley PG)

Value really swings wildly on the Clippers pick. If it's a mid-1st, it's poor value for Turner and Wiseman. If the Clippers collapse and it ends up a top 3 pick, it's an overpay. Anywhere in between, well, and it greatly changes whether or not Wiseman/Turner get dealt in this package.

It's a lot of picks, but all pretty darned low. I just doubt Indy would deal Turner for a bunch of low picks that have to be combined to maybe come short of actually equalling Turner's value?

Also, if Adams is going, I think Clarke's value is neutralized a ton. They cannibalize minutes and production from each other, especially when Indy would still have Sabonis, and would want to get minutes for Jackson, Goga, Brissett, etc.

Wings and, this year at least, a PG would be much higher valued.

I think it's been established that Golden State will not trade Wiseman or Kuminga. They are the best team already with those young players in the wing.

I would probably go for it. Pacers could send back Lamb and Craig to match salaries.

I do this in a second even without Moody. I keep Wiseman and let him learn behind Turner for a couple years and then trade Turner if Wiseman looks like he will be good.

Would be tough to give up both centers without getting 1 supertar center in return. Pacers probably do a straight Sabonis for Brown swap with Boston or a Sabonis for Edwards.

Nothing has been established until the deadline. if GW decides they can't win it all this season without a good center then they will start putting the future on the table. Do you have an offer for Charlotte or is the price too steep?

What's the protection on the Wolves pick?

I think I like this for all 3 teams involved, but mostly I like it for Pacers

I don't think the gap between Edwards and Sabonis is Turner, but it's accepted that you have to overpay if you're trading two players for one overall more valuable player, so I think it is a fair price to pay, especially when Pacers are also getting a FRP back as compensation

Sadly I don't think this is realistic at all, as I don't see Wolves trading Edwards anytime soon

Not much in this thread is likely to be realistic. I would see a realistic trade to be something like Sabonis to San Antonio for Murray and Johnson or Vassell.
