Next!

Oh, and please practice some offense against the zone. Even Doc Rivers will realize we struggled against it today, so we can expect a healthy dose of zone the next game!

I can proudly say I was very strongly against Miami going for Harden in any way lol. He's probably my least favorite player of all time.

Don't think I can get the banner in the middle of a series, Lifer. Have to make sure we get the job done for the whole series at least

4 playoff wins in a row is 4 wins in a row. It’s decided.

I guess I'm kind of impressed how good our guys were tonight, especially the hard hat guys. What was most indicative of how good they were was that Spo didn't even bother to bring back Butler or Bam at the end of the game. The others earned their moment. I really liked seeing Strus in this role (even though he didn't really have a great game), and I think it's scary that Oladipo clearly has another gear (or probably two) that we might see. His presence on the Heat is a coup.

We didn't really have a good game, but still soundly beat them. I was a little surprised.

I didn't see this till after the game, looks like Maxey wasn't happy with Harden for some reason...obviously a clickbait title but still a weird vid...

Spo always tends to trust his defensive guys.

Dipo and Gabe are so much better on defense that he can't not play them.

Witn that said, despite loving to hate on Duncan lately - the guy can be used as a zone buster next game. He can become a factor in a limited role.

Our shooting low key sucked, we were 20% from 3.

I'll take a timid strut here and say that, not only did I oppose trading for Harden, but I also opposed signing 0-minutes Robinson for ~$20M a season.

ORTG-DRTG for the game.

Bam +63 (155, 92)
Hero +51 (160, 109)
Tucker +20 (127, 107)
Butler +5 (99, 94)
Martin -8 (97, 105)
Vincent -13 (90, 103)
Oladipo -31 (70, 101)
Strus -34 (71, 105)

76er notables
Harris -3
Maxey -22
Harden -27

I still don't understand how a 2nd round team(76ers) can have players who get on the floor who just don't prioritize guarding 3pt shooters at least early in the clock, Herro made them pay.

Not really, his window of being a high level player was short(2-4 years) which was understood.

I do have a theory about Harden now and it couples with him not really a high level competitor.
1. He wanted to win a Championship before he starts to fade as a high level NBA player so he forced his way out of Houston to Brooklyn for that shot.
2. While in Brooklyn that team is never at full strength, injuries and then Kyrie with the covid issues so he forces his way out to Philly.
3. Now in Philly nearly the same thing has happened to a top player, first the hand and now the eye socket and is currently and quite possibly for the whole playoffs and it's basically taken whatever drive Harden had out of him. He's not a true competitor.

Are we going to pretend Harden's not putting up at least solid stats these playoffs? 18.6 pts, 5.6 reb, 9.4 ast, 3.7 TO at 40% FG%. 37% 3pt% and .577 TS% and for Philly in the regular season he was a +11 in ORTG-DRTG, his offense has been bumped up since leaving Brooklyn. He's what we all figured... a front runner, that can be useful but it can go bad awfully quick.

It's really odd to me, Harden is a main cog of an offense and has only went against solid to great defenses so far in the playoffs while Herro who comes off the bench has went against 2 average or worse defenses when you take in consideration Embiid being out for Philly. Yet this is the game that makes you feel you're right, even this series with Philly missing Embiid? How good would Herro be against Miami's defense, especially with Spoelstra having multiple days to prepare for him?

Point of the trade last year... you only get a few chances at a high level player so when one becomes available you need to try to get them(if you can retain your high level players). I don't even like the guy but understand the talent level even with him on the backside of his career.

This guy gets it. I’ve been studying ratings for a good minute as they usually coincide with my eyes (obvious anomalies like Harden and Lilliard’s defensive ratings being inflated while Klay’s and DeAndre hunters deflated) I wouldn’t dare put anyone’s opinion over it. It’s how I always knew Trae young was a fraud, notably offensively. Even casuals know his defensive story.

Let the church say amen. Carmelo, Lilliard, Cupcake, Dressbrook/ Westbrick, Trae Young, and this clown, in no particular order. Disgusting floor games all of em. Kyrie has his own flat little planet.

I was absolutely flabbergasted at the rumors aligning him with the Heat. As if a wack rapper sack-chasing defensive blooper reel creating dude who quit on a team who was prepared to make him the highest paid player ever by getting fat isn’t the absolute antithesis of a Heat player who da fug is?
