Its not Doc, and its not Mark Jackson, to me that's a win. I don't know much about Ham but everything I've read and heard about him he's all about accountability and toughness...both things we were in dire need of last season.

This roster is just screwed, Molly. I feel bad for Darvin Ham.

Should've taken the Charlotte Hornets job.They have a young star in Lemelo Ball. Miles Bridges is getting better. They also some other good pieces as well,which would be good for a young coach like Darvin. But instead he decided to take a dead coach gag for the Lakers. This guy will be unemployed by this time next year or year after when they end being one of the worst teams in the NBA due to terrible roster construction,while the media will mostly blame the coach and use him as the scapegoat for their failure,instead putting the blame where it truly belongs,which is the front office. Like I said before, even a prime Phil Jackson or Pat Riley wouldn't be able to coach this team to the playoffs. Big mistake by Darvin Ham.

Exciting news! I liked Darvin even when he was on the Lakers staff 10 years ago. May be some bumps on the road as a first time head coach but I'm hopeful he was the right hire.

Great news. Darvin Ham has been getting HC interviews for what feels like forever so this feels overdue.

I don't actually think the Lakers job is that bad. External expectations are low, so if the Lakers make some okay moves and are surprisingly solid, Ham's a hero.
