Like folks have already said. He struggled to start the season, Then had 2 good games. A 30 piece, then a few minutes into the next game turned his ankle 90 degrees. Missed over a month. Came back had real nice game helping beat Boston at Boston. Just trying to get minutes now.

Then head injury last night, when to locker room with dizziness, might be out again for a while. He can't catch a break, missed most of the 2nd half of last season with toe injury. He's a very good shooter, can drive a little, decent defender, decent passer.

His name sounds like a South American dictator.

Just checked his stats and how did he only played 2 years in college and become a 25 year old rookie? I would've thought he was a 5 year red shirt guy.

What happened to him? I don't know, but he looks like one of those average wrestlers from late 90s, with blonde hair and goatee.

In terms of pure stats, he's basically Steve Nash right now and there's no prime Amare on that team. Mathburn is a promising rookie but he's not Pheonix Amare on offense.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Steve Nash wasn't special because of his stat line. He was special because he was pretty much always running the offense for the team with the most efficient offense in the league.

Indiana is currently middle of the pack in offensive efficiency.

I'm taking my time on forming my opinion on Haliburton. He is mostly theory and projection right now. I've been around long enough to have seen plenty of 20 and 10 guys on good efficiency that don't really elevate their teams to the requisite heights for stardom. Right now, Haliburton's stat line flatters and exceeds his actual performance, but he also isn't a finished product.

And the talent that the Pacers currently have offensively pales in comparison to those teams. Again, there's no automatic 25PPG Bucket that the Suns had with Amare.

2nd year is where it gets harder. Look at all in that rookie class, how many have issues? Well, "issues" as in not living up to the 1st year hype. Its not uncommon. Opposition will know what u want to do and dont want to do and so on. Also think he belieed his own hype a bit too much. Every year the rookies get hyped while older players with even better stats get hunted by media and fans for it
