That will only happen if Wemby has a career-threatening injury. That said, you did warn us that this was a hot take and that one is definitely scolding hot.

The human body is still constrained by physics. These ultra monster athletes with abnormal body's never hold up long term in the NBA. I think he's too big and doesn't have the frame to be that big, he's too skinny, I don't think his bones are dense or thick enough to put on the gerth he needs to protect his body. I don't see him holding up. It's the same reason I never trusted Zion. He's too short to be that heavy and move the way he moves.Nuntius wrote:gambitx777 wrote:Hot take. Bilal on the other hand has the frame to be you're prototypical starting small forward in the NBA and shown a high skill level.

Hey, I never said that the injury concerns for Wemby aren't valid. They definitely are. All I'm saying is that the only thing stopping him is a career-threatening injury. Does it have the potential to happen? Yes. But I certainly don't want it to happen.

I was just explaining my point more. I'm in no way saying wemby shouldn't be number 1 hrs clearly the only choice. I just really like Bilal.Nuntius wrote:gambitx777 wrote:The human body is still constrained by physics. These ultra monster athletes with abnormal body's never hold up long term in the NBA. I get it. I do consider Bilal an intriguing prospect as well.

Rumor is OKC has promised Coulibaly.

Very high on Bilal. His growth has been insane. He was a benchwarmer at the start of the season and is now a key contributor for a team 1 win away to get to the finals. You almost see him progress game by game. I wouldn't be surprised if he cracks the Top 10.

Re: Bilal Coulibaly
If this kid wasn't over shadowed by wemby we would probably be seeing a legit fight between him and miller for 2. I think this kid is that good and that talented. I would love the Wizards to take him. But if OKC is on to him and someone let that slip he will very likely rise up the boards. Don't be surprised if he has some last minute work outs he might even crack the top ten, hell even 5 if people start really looking into him. I think they highest he could go is 3 legit if someone starts an arms race to move up to get him there are teams than might have something win now to trade for it. Sounds nuts but this kid would be so highly regarded if he wasn't over shadowed by wemby.penggemar wrote:Who is better, Bilal or Risacher?

And last summer he was coming off the bench (behind Cissoko, Rupert and Kymany Houinsou, who was barely in the rotation for an average Washington st team and was not even on draft radar this year) for France's U18 team.
He went from that, to being on Metro 92's B team in a U21 league, to then get called up to the A team with Wemby to then end up starting for them in the playoffs.
A crazy amount of development in less than a year - and still only 18 yrs old! Imagine how good he'll be in 2-3 yrs when he's 20/21..
1/11/24 The birth of a new Hal. From now on being less combative, avoiding confrontation - like Switzerland

Right now? I think it's Bilal Coulibaly.
In the future? I think Risacher has the biggest upside with his natural shooting talent.
But Bilal is a late bloomer that improves seemingly every game.
It's hard to know honestly.
