Sneaky trade candidate? Hell i'll give him to you for free just to have the roster spot back....dude stole 60+ million dollars from the Bulls and just keeps "getting hurt"
While we're at it i'll give you Zach Lavine for five new or mildly used Wilson Evolution basketballs....they don't even have to be inflated.
Oh wait there's more, if you act now....we'll throw in a Jevon Carter, Torey Craig for free!

Re: Sneaky Trade Candidate: Lonzo Ball
The guy has no trade value at all right now. A lot of health concerns combined with not knowing if he ever return to close to same player again along with his expiring contract is going to make it a hard sell for teams to give up assets for him. If Lonzo Ball stays somewhat healthy for the rest season, they should resign him at discount and hope he can stay healthy from there, and then trade him down the line when his health issues are not as much of a concern anymore.

He makes too much money to have any value he may have value as expiring if you take term back. For example if you took back Middleton or Poole

Could see a salary dump scenario with his decent sized expiring which could bring in a pick

Simple deal, DLo + Christian Wood for Lonzo Ball. Guarantee Lonzo wants to stay a Laker too.
Why would the Lakers do that? DLo is a rotation player, runs the point, and can shoot. Why on earth would the Lakers trade that for a guy who hasn’t really played competitive ball for 2 years?
Lonzo is cooked.

Re: Sneaky Trade Candidate: Lonzo Ball
Haven't seen him this season at all. How does he look? He's not the best of the brother but he definitely has great court vision and there is something special in that about his game. Would love to see him make a comeback and be relevant again.
Already been said but LA could try it. There isn't too much to lose in trying to trade for him at this point.
Maybe PHX could use his playmaking skills too?

Do you realize you're describing him pre-injury as well?
I imagine watching him play right and say this is the same Zo pre injury. He is not.

Last healthy season - 20 foot average distance of attempt. 68% of shot attempts from 3.
15% of attempts at rim. Never drove in the half court. He simply is a connector and spot up guy in the half court.
Of course he is working his way back after multiple years off, but yeah. Not wildly different. I imagine if he starts to feel good, he'll once again be about a 70% of attempts are 3's guy.

Haven’t been that healthy this season and salary matching at his salary and against playoff teams (apron/second apron) probably means his best chance of appearing in the playoff is probably as salary matching as part of a wider deal or after taking a buyout from the bulls.
Would a team really be willing to trade matching expiring salary on the hope that he will play in the playoff for them (health concerns?)

Outside of the health concerns which are significant he's shown he can still be a positive impact player.

Does a contender really want $21 mil of their payroll devoted to Lonzo Ball?
