Low risk, high reward move, but Schroder is nice when he can handle the ball and not that impactful as a role player, so I don't think it will make any difference, this fit is odd for Warriors basketball.

People are all for throwing away 2nd round picks unless one single one is used to draft Bronny

Nobody, this dude just wants to be provocative. Dennis is an expiring contract it was always going to be hard for him to yield a first unless it was heavily protected and more likely than not to become seconds...

This is a great get for the Warriors. What happens to their injured player exception? Do the Nets get one now?

bahahaha what an absolute robbery for Golden state.

I think there is a difference in wasting it on a historically bad NBA rookie that can't even shoot 40% in the G League vs using a couple of them to get a really great role player who is capable of starting, and has been an NBA level starter for many years.

And giving that player a four-year contract when the norm is a two-way at best. But details are irrelevant when you've got "takes."

Imagine your NBA career consists of 7gms while avg 2.6mins and it's being described as historically bad.

Gonna need to see the receipts to shame whoever made that claim.

Pretty sure everyone knows, but he’s also still very young. I think he could thrive with a certain team down in South Beach, eventually.
He is not that young. Playing his 4th season. Most star players break out by now or at least show major signs. Kuminga is just an athlete that is not very good at basketball.

When you look at his efficiency, per possession data... it's terrifying. In the G League for example he's running a near 30% usage (similar to SGA) and is shooting 38/20 shooting splits or whatever. That's just unacceptable. The data to me shows he's a guy that thinks he should have the ball in his hands, but with a near 1:1 assist/TO and putrid efficiency he should be NOWHERE near the ball.
Yes, he's got some defensive upside.. but this kid needs another 2-3 years before even being a fringe NBA player IMO. Instead he got a 4 year deal for 8 million and somehow doesn't have to go to away games for the G League unless they are in Phoenix 5-6 hours away.

They’re throwaway picks. Always have been and always will be. They threw them 3 of them and it won’t even matter

The only time a second round pick has mattered (other than a shot in the dark pick that turned out great) was because Bronny

He wasnt going to net them a 1st. This is a decent trade for both sides. It cost the Nets nothing to trade for Denis, and they basically turned him into 2 second round picks.

It was more the coverage that rubbed me the wrong way.
Spending a late 2nd on a 6-3ish guard with a great wingspan and good athleticism isn't a problem. Even giving him one of those pseudo-1st contracts isn't that bad, if you really believe in him. But the whole 2nd round draft night of "OMFG who's going to take Bronny?" was nauseating, then seeing him on the promos for Summer League ahead of the majority of other players was pathetic.
Which isn't his fault, and I wish the kid himself the best, but there is a level of satisfaction watching ESPN's coverage being proven as the sham we all know it is.
