What do you want to see in the final 21 regular season games?

Boost AB and Jett's minutes. I don't care about the results.

Losses are better at this juncture.

Trade everything, other than Franz Paolo and Suggs, this offseason possibly including the pick if it isn't top 3.

Thought about this last night while seeing AB and Jett play. How this is what teams that are really rebuilding do. Ya'know, play the players they draft and let them learn trial by fire.

We lost, in the dumbest of ways, but I still think its possible to win by 20 against Toronto next game. Maybe even 40. All just depends whom shows up.

But otherwise yes, "analysis mode" on everyone else but the big 3.

I'd probably go AB and would imagine the FO is going to be put in a situation where they might have to move AB to get anything valuable back. Think that was the issue with them at the deadline, they didn't want to move a 1st & AB + Cole/Gary to get something of value but in the summer, they probably don't have the option to not include AB in any deal.

I want to see what this team looks like with an actual PG. Cut Cole out of the rotation. Give Mac a chance or just play Corey Joseph. We need some halfcourt playmaking from ANYONE.

The run the magic went on to finish that game last night in the last 6 minutes was a totally different team that played the rest of the game. That run also coincidentally was the same 5 or 6 minutes Corey Joseph played.

Actually I have no desire to watch any Magic games right now so my season long League Pass subscription looks like a really bad investment. I guess I'll watch a single play-in game (there will be only one for Magic, book it) to piss myself off even more and that will be all.

I think I want to see a starting lineup of Goga/Paolo/Franz/KCP/AB

After this I want to see TDS and Jett replace Goga and KCP for a regular look at the youth movement. This is actually our last 5 first round picks and it's Paolo sliding over to the center spot. Can his interior defense on opposing centers be any worse than his perimeter defense against anybody? That group would look like this

Paolo/Franz/TDS/Jett/AB

Like seriously is the offense or defense going to be any worse than we've been recently? Why not get a look?

This group would lead to the second unit of

WCJ/JI/TDS/KCP/Cole

Maybe some of these guys would look better playing off the bench roles and could regain some trade value and we could salvage this mess of a team

The answer to that question is no.. Isaac’s body failed him and he had to be dealt with bubble wrap

The biggest concern is now Paolo and his relationship with Mose. This is not a knee jerk reaction to his Mom’s tweets…we’ve seen his frustration and his difficulties with the state of the team. Regardless of his role in the terrible recent stretch, repairing & strengthening his allegiance to ORL is job 1. If he and Franz and Suggs are on-board, a proactive FO (I know - believe me it was hard to type that) can manage the rest around them…but if there’s any hint of discord, there’s a real danger of this team plummeting back into nowheresville with a handful of overpaid gimps and a pocketful of picks for our trouble.

If Paolo can’t be brought completely onboard, I’d ask for his help in hiring the next FO (hopefully not coach too)…

What I question is the true intent of this organization at this point. Something has to give and given the performance of the win/loss record is there a converted effort to expose the weaknesses of the roster here? Is Mosley trying to win with what he's got? Or is he on board with a bigger plan from the FO? Are we really as bad as we've been lately just because of injuries? Are we sending the team out with this game plan because it's our best chance to win games or are we setting them up to fail for the purpose of growth?

It's bewildering to me right now what the goal of this season is.

Yes that's what happens when we have a player with any real PG skills to set some pick and roll, run some halfcourt offense, and not turn it over every other possession. Corey Joseph is on brink of retirement. It speaks on how bad AB and Cole are that he made them looks expandable. A complete failure on weltman on building this roster.

Yeah unless our pick lands top 10, our filler of KCP, WCJ, Isaac and Cole will only go so far in a move for a guy like Trae or Booker. Maaaaaybe Kyrie can force his way here without the Magic having to hand over all our future assets in one go? But I think AB will be a must in talks for big names.

You’d essentially be converting AB + pick + salary into what you’d hope they’d become in 2-3 seasons - and paying a hefty price for it very quickly.

With 6 games behind Pistons, we have near 0% chance at direct to play offs spot.
We are actually now only 0,5 games ahead of 9th spot ( Hawks).

Tank-crew isn't realistic, it would be near impossible to go lower than 10th worst record and still odds of actually landing top 4 pick would be sub 15%.

Next 20 games should be all about figuring out WHY this roster is so bad. We have TWO injuried player, not 5, not 6, not 10. Two.
Among two of them, one had ACL tear and probably won't even be ready to play in October ( probably not until 2026).
And we have no clue how Suggs knee will hold short nor long term.

Goes without saying we need trades, but it's pivotal to figure wtf is going on.

This is the best way to find out if AB and Jett can be part of our future

No matter what happen, we ll make the playin and wont win the title this year, so use the rest of the season to make our FINAL evaluation

Id be okay with looking at this lineup. I also want to see TDS more with the ball in his hands on the second unit. And yeah about WCJ. Has his slow motion pump fake ever fooled anyone? The ball in his hands is just a chance for the defense to catch their breath for a few seconds

Believe it or not, I tend to be an optimist...so, the fact that even I can't rationalize this clown show means it's probably been unsalvageable for 2-3 years.

I'd honestly hire Nico over Weltman...he's willing to take action and he just F**ked up really bad, so maybe he's learned a hard recent lesson. I doubt Nico gets the boot right away, however, because ownership and their wallets certainly had a LOT to do with the Luka move. In fact, he's completely absorbed all of the vitriol on their behalf without ever pointing anywhere else. I give him credit for that, despite being so involved in one of the worst trades ever...really a bummer for him that AD AND Kyrie now out for extended periods.
