Obviously not paying much attention, but I didn't realize it's been over a decade since he last won a major.

Sure if you take everything that makes that putt hard out of it, its an easy putt.

Glad Rory got it done. He will play way more free now. Was honestly an emotional win. Seeing him just break down hugging his wife and daughter.

Crazy rollercoaster of an afternoon but cool to see him win it finally. Was cheering for him if an Aussie couldn't win.

Yep, monkey is off his back now. He's been top of his game for the past three years - except for major final rounds, which is kinda a big astericks obviously. But now the drought is over and he's got his grand slam. Definitely interested to see what this does for him.

Spieth and Mickelson are sitting on 3. Spieth needs the PGA (next month). Phil needs the US Open in June.

Palmer, Watson, Trevino, Snead, Nelson, Hagen also had 3, couldn't finish. Those chumps

He can miss a 4 foot putt like no other.

Chump.

Easy to make fun of Rory for missing some of the puts but he was pulling shots out of his ass left and right to recover from the rough, behind trees, and from pine straw with his driver not working. Sure missing the putts look bad but most other players would have been off the green.

Lining up 6 footer is like having a FT to win it all.
Rory will always be a bit of a choker but he battled through it today and came up clutch on that approach to the green on the playoff hole.

Hard to call one of the best to ever do it a choker. Chokers dont win all the majors. Hes still young enough to get more Majors also. Hes only a couple years older then Phil was when he won his first major.

Chokers don't win the Career Grand Slam...I get it, he's missed some huge putts in his time. Lost leads. But a lot of pro golfers have. It's ****ing hard.

Missed huge puts cause he was there to miss them. Lots of guys miss them when they are sitting down in 20th or whatever. Hes a relatively young guy to have 5 majors and like 40 wins. Dudes also dialed in right now and could win another this year. A choker doesnt pin it 3 feet from the pin in the playoff after Rose put it in makeable range right before him. After a rough round that was about as incredible of a golf shot you can get.

You can count on one hand the list of modern era golfers more successful than Rory. It's like the Mount Rushmore guys, Tom Watson...and the rest is now entirely arguable.
