2025 NBA PLAYOFFS East Semifinals: #2 Boston Celtics vs #3 New York Knicks (NYK leads 3-1)

This will be the 8th matchup between these two teams this year, In the first 7 matchups, Celtics built a 20+ point lead in 6 of them. I know regular season =/= postseason and certain guys were out for certain matchups, but there's a trend there.

It's hard for to see the logic anyone would have in picking NYK for any individual game at this point really. I don't see how anyone could have any on court reason for picking them in a game. BUT game to game results don't always follow the on paper logic and by virtue of going up 2-0 they basically gave BOS no margin for error in this series.

So I'm going to keep picking BOS for each individual game on paper but teams win games that they "should" lose on paper all the time so based on that 2-0 lead I still think NYK takes the series.

What I say is that the Celtics a championship caliber team and they showed it last game. If the Knicks want to reach the golden gates of a championship, they MUST play the best and beat the best. Period. This is not 2020, you have to mentally, emotionally and physically leave your tears, sweat, and blood on the courts.

If the Knicks are for real and ready, they'll experience it. If not, it's add another year to the last chip (52 years). Meanwhile members of that un-forgotten team are one by one passing. I pray that the survivors, get to see another one.

So was Foster sent in to help the celtics avoid going down 1-3, because they are afraid Brunson would end it in game 5 if given the chance to end this series on the road? Or was Foster sent in to help us avoid it getting to 2-2 because the league thinks Boston would still win in 7?
