The screams of joy and celebration at his draft watch party says so much about how he treats the people closest to him in everyday life and how they feel about him as a person.

I've never heard such crazed celebration from an inner circle.

Seems like the perfect Swarm PG who can help the team lead on both sides of the ball for development purposes.

McNeeley, Salaün, Kalkbrenner will all spend time with him in the Gleague. And we will be stacking 2nd round picks through his first contract.

lol your first paragraph made me happy and then you do a switcharoo and use no lube. Be happy my man. This is a joyous time. Trust me.

You will one day learn the art of the backhanded compliment.

Been reading your post for years and half the time don’t know if you’re serious joking or what. You’re either a genius or a moron.

I mean that with love.

Wonder if he ends up on a 2way deal, we don’t have that many roster spots. Even if we waive Okogie, Micic and DaQuan we have 1-2 spots max.

Sion had 17 dunks this year, so nearly 3 times as many Kon and Liam combined.

I think he falls somewhere on the Ben Sheppard, Cason Wallace, Lu Dort scale.

I love the Lu Dort comparison.

I was looking forward to seeing what he could do for this team as a poa defender. Somebody on this team’s got to defend. I think Sion is an NBA player. But he’s so buried behind all these new additions I suppose we're not gonna see him anytime soon.

All the new guards are crappy defenders, I hope Sion gets minutes

I personally think this team needs a good Sion more than it needs a Tre Mann or a Spencer Dinwiddie.

Cody Martin's maybe my favorite Hornet of the 2020s, but I still have nightmares from seeing him forced to play the point. FO probably looked at last year and decided the team can't have enough real playmakers. Charles clearly put defense first year one on the job so I'm optimistic he's got a role ready for Sion.

Also, Sion's just a rookie with his whole pro career ahead of him, and all of the vets we've signed/traded for are on one-year contracts...

2 years guaranteed, 4th year team option
They must like him though, it's good $.
We have a lot of cost control young up and coming players now. I think most of them are signed for 3+ years. And - finally some professional vet types too.

Has to continue to keep working on his spot up shooting which was dog water at Tulane but more than solid at Duke.

Always love a good defensive player. I hope he will get some minutes. He and Kalk will be my players to watch this season.

So yeah that's a contract you give a guy if you anticipate him being in the rotation/on the fringe for most of the year, which is clearly bad news for Josh Green and Nick Smith Jr.

Different FO I guess but they did the same thing with Vernon Carey Jr and never really gave him a shot

Best guess
Off guard next to kj in the swarm backcourt. Not meant as a dis. Just too deep at guard.

Cutting okogie and green slowly coming back from injury would give him a good shot at pt immediately as poa defender

I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of on ball abilities he has. He can help me get over losing out on vj. I like the dort comp you mentioned previously, as potential type of physical impact in few years.

That video where he sets a screen and the player bounces off him is pretty mind blowing. He is a brick wall.
